Raghav spoke in a soft voice
Sia: Raghav...kya bola tumne...
Raghav suddenly realized the magnitude of what he had just said.
Meine Pushpa ko ... Propose kiya? I said... that... I am in love with her!!!!
He could not believe that he had just said that. He got out of his trance and let go of her.
Sia: Raghav? Kya tumne...
He looked down for a moment and then smiled and said
Raghav: tum ghabra kyun rahi ho Pushpa? Me to tume gaane ka matlab bata raha tha!
Sia got surprised. She didn't understand what he was talking about.
Sia: Tum kya bol rahe ho?
Raghav: Pushpa tumne kaha na tume is gane ka matlab nahi pata... TE AMO means I LOVE YOU. Me yahi bol raha tha.
And he winked smiling.
Sia still could not understand what he was talking about.
Explaining the song? He was just telling the meaning of the song's lyrics???
She stood still for a second and then it hit her... He was Raghav Oberoi and he was just being himself... that is a flirt. Aur meine socha... I am such an Idiot!!
Her heart started beating very fast again. She could feel a certain pain within her. Her eyes got moistened up.
The song got changed. It was her turn to dance with Sama. But she didn't feel like dancing.
Raghav: Pushpa... Kya hua?
Sia: Kuch nahi... me bas... me thak gayi hoon.
When Sama came to her,she said
" Sama, lagta he mere ankho me kuch gir gayi he, me washroom se ati hoon"
Saying this she hurriedly left the dance floor lest anybody see her tears.
Sama: Ise kya hua?
Raghav's eyes followed her as she left the hall. He sighed and said
" chod, chal thoda break lete he"
The party continued but Raghav didn't return to the dance floor.
Neither did Sia.
It was getting late.
Raghav had a drink in his hand and was looking at the people dancing. He saw all of his friends at the refreshment corner. They were talking about something and laughing.
He thought of Sia.
He wished he had not said that to her. What could be she thinking?
He remembered Sia's expression.
But Sia looked hurt after he had said that it was a joke!
Par kyun? Mere aise bolne se use kyun bura laga?
To kya wo bhi mujhse...?
Raghav felt hurt and guilty at the same time.
How could he hurt her like that?
But then... if he didn't...what would have happened to Juno?
THE NEXT DAY (SUNDAY) MORNING
he closed his eyes and thought of her. How he always tries to protect her, how he always wants to help her, how much he loves it when she gets irritated by his pranks, how her every remarks affects him, how much he have got hurt when she have ignored him...every moment with her seemed special.
He couldnot think anymore. His head was getting jammed. He went out of the hostel and came to canteen. He saw Wadda and Nikka chatting. He joined them. He talked to them for a while and his mood got better. Again his phone rang. It was Saloni'.. again!
It was good that saloni was not here. How could he put up with her for all this time? She is nothing but a rich, spoilt, heartless girl! But didn't he know about this for all this time? He did know. But he just needed someone to show off! He needed to show that he was the coolest dude and the hottest girl in school was his girlfriend.
But he did love saloni once? Didn't he? But can he even call that love now?
He saw that Sama and sia are passing by the canteen. He immediately left and appeared in front of them.
Raghav: what's up sama? Kya chal raha he?
Sama: kuch nahi rags, Hum log...
Sia: Sama tujhe agar baat karna he to me akele hi ja rahi hu.
Raghav: kya baat he Pushpa? Itne jaldi me kisse milne ja rahi ho? (he winks) kahi boyfriend to nahi bana li?
Sia looked at him straight and said
" Nahi... Aur chahti bhi nahi hoon"
Raghav got surprised at her cold tone. He didn't know that he have hurt her so much!
Sia: Me ja rahi hoo, tu chalegi, Sama?
Sama was confused about what was going on. But she knew that something was wrong.
Sama: Bye rags, baad me baat karenge.
Raghav stood there dumbstruck.
Pushpa itni gussa he ki wo mujh par chillayi bhi ni! Par Kyun?
The whole day he tried to grab Sia's attention by various ways... either irritating her or by some remarks or interrupting her with something. But she kept on showing him cold shoulder. He just didn't know what he could do to make her smile again...to make their relation like before.
She was out of breath.
She took her towel and wiped her face.
She thought about last night. She didn't want to remember it but still it kept on repeating on her mind.
She wondered how many times he have said these 3 words to her. And every time he have laughed saying it was a joke. But then why she felt so hurt this time? This is not the first time this thing is happening!
She put her stuffs in her bag and promised to herself something
She was about to leave the gym when Raghav entered.
Raghav: hi Pushpa, practice ho gaya?
Sia just nodded and walked past him. She didn't even look at him.
Suddenly she felt a pull backwards. She turned and saw Raghav holding her hands. He pulled her forcefully towards him so that they would stand face to face.
Raghav: tum mujhe ignore kyun kar rahe ho Pushpa?!!
Sia looked at him with anger and said
" mere haat chodo Raghav!"
He looked at her hand and let go of it. She then clutched her bag and again started walking. But Raghav blocked her.
Raghav: tum aise nahi ja sakte, tumhe batana hoga ki tum aisa kyun kar rahi ho?
Sia: mujhe tum he kuch batane ki zarurat nahi he. Aur waise bhi mere marzi me tumhe kaise treat karoon!
Raghav was getting inpatient and angry at her answers.
Raghav: Pushpa mene kuch bhi nahi kiya phir vi tum aise mujhse naraz kyun ho?
Sia: me tumse naraz hoon? Me tumse naraz kyun rahoongi? Meine tum he pehle bhi kaha he ki naraz un logo pe hote he jinse koi unmeed rahte he...aur tumse to mein kavi...kher chodo mujhe jana he.
Raghav felt hurt at her words...even more than when she had originally said it. But he didn't let her go. He said in a soft voice
"Pushpa, tum aise kyun kar rahi ho?...kya kaal raat mere baat se..."
It was getting hard for Sia to face Raghav. The more she wanted to run away from him, the more she had to face him!
Sia looked at him sternly and said in a sharp tone
"Mujhe kaal raat ki barame baat nahi karna he! Mujhe koi farak nahi padta he tum ne kal raat kya bola!"
Raghav looked at her in surprise and said
"Koi farak nahi padta!!"
Sia: nahi!
Raghav:to phir tum ro kyun rahi thi? To phir tum bhaag kyun gayi? To phir tum mujhe ignore kyun kar rahi ho?
Sia: tum kya keh rahe ho Raghav? Tumne to wo mazak me bola tha hena? To phir mujhe usse kyun farak parega??...ya phir wo koi mazak tha hi nahi!
Raghav had no answers. He just stood there looking down.
Sia looked at him and said
"yehi sach hena ki wo baat sach tha...aur tum ye maan nahi pa rahe ho ki tum... Raghav Oberoi mujhse...ek garib se...pyaar karte ho??
Sia could not continue anymore. She broke into tears.
Raghav looked at her. How could Pushpa think that he won't accept the fact that he loved her just because she has less money? Money does not even matter.
He put his hands on her shoulder and tried to comfort her.
Raghav: Pushpa, please...please don't cry... it's not what you are thinking.
But Sia continued crying.
He pulled her close towards him softly and rested her head on his chest.
He put his arms around her and said
"Pushpa...I...its complicated"
He had no words to say. How could he tell her the truth. He just stood there silently comforting her.
Suddenly Sia pushed him away. Her eyes were red from crying. She looked at him straight and said
"Mujhe tumhare koi safaai nahi sunni he"
She wiped her eyes and said
" Aur mujhe tumhare is sahare ka bhi koi zarurat nahi!!"
Raghav: Pushpa...
Sia: RAGHAV OBEROI! Tum mere competitor ho! Aur tumhare saath me Boxing Ring me hi hisab barabar karungi!
She said this and clutched on her bag and ran away from the gym.
Raghav just stood there looking at her leave the gym. He sat down on the ground...hurt, sad and alone.
Sia ran through the corridors. She just could not stop crying.
She now knew why she was jealous of Saloni...she knew why she could not stop thinking about last night... she knew why it hurts...because... now she knew...
... that she loves Raghav.
