Ranbir, Shahid Ticket to stardom?

Nargis Fakhri, Angela Jonsson and now Australian model Kristina Akheeva, getting linked to these bachelor boys seems to be the quickest way to become famous overnight

It's an interesting pattern, really. Wannabe firangi starlet gets linked to young, eligible B-Town actor and post that, goes on to sign films here. Ranbir and Shahid Kapoor have both been there. And now we are told that Shak's charm has struck again, and Kristina Akheeva, an Australian model of Russian descent, is the latest object of his affection. Here's what the 'source' shared: "Shahid and Kristina met at a brand shoot and have become friends. They began partying together soon after, with mutual friends in tow. He even took Kristina to a house party. She was also invited to his birthday party in Goa. Since then, the two have become even closer."

Shahid's spokesperson denies this, adding, "He is tired of being linked with anyone he has even
met casually. He feels he gets targetted as he's single, and finds it very embarrassing." So who's behind the rumours? The agencies handling these wanna-shine actresses? You could be right in assuming that. These girls seem to be in the loop, too. When contacted, Kristina initially admitted to being "good friends" with the Kapoor lad. "We hang out in a group with mutual friends. I met him socially through a make up artist friend. He's a great guy but it's just pure friendship between us," she says.

Akheeva has been around on the circuit for barely three months. Is Bollywood an option? "I'm here for modelling but... I am open to films." She agreed to send us her pictures at first but later replied, "I don't want any unnecessary press for SK or myself. Especially as there is nothing to be said. There is no story. It will just look like I'm trying to get publicity which I'm not." We reckon that this aboutturn had something to do with Shahid or his publicist making their displeasure known. We're curious to see how this dosti goes. FRIENDSHIP FOR FILMS?

Angela Jonsson SPOTTED WITH: Ranbir Kapoor WHAT WAS WRITTEN/SAID: The calendar girl and RK were seen together at many hotspots last year in March, after being introduced at Shahid's birthday last year. They were even seen at Anushka Sharma's birthday party, which was attended by a select few and also at a lounge bar in Colaba, Mumbai. Her apartment in Bandra is not too far from Ranbir's bungalow, Krishna Raj.
WHAT THEY DID: Shahid too was linked to Angela. While Shahid sent out swift denials, Ranbir didn't react.
CAREER NOW: Jonsson now has two films in her kitty. One is Sohail Khan's next opposite Salman Khan and there's one project with producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Nargis Fakhri SPOTTED WITH: Ranbir and Shahid Kapoor WHAT WAS WRITTEN/SAID: Nargis and Ranbir were 'dating' before Rockstar's release. He even visited her in New York for Christmas. After the film's release, the rumours of her 'closeness' to the other Kapoor began doing the rounds. She had been invited to Shahid's birthday party in Goa this year, where they were 'spotted' growing closer and closer.
WHAT THEY DID: Ranbir refrained from comment while Shahid gave out denials. Nargis denied seeing SK.
CAREER NOW: After a long film drought and the last link-up, she recently signed a three-film deal with Akshay Kumar's production house.
