Normally young actors who taste success early in life wear an attitude shrouded with arrogance, but young and dashing Mohit Sehgal is someone who has managed to stay away from treading the similar path. After Miley Jab Hum Tum (Star One), this Punjabi munda from Delhi is now looking forward to a new show for which he might commence shooting from the first week of May, 2012, "I can't say much for I have yet to sign the dotted line. All I will reveal is that it is on a popular channel and I just love the script."
He continues, "With this new show, I will now get a chance to impress other audiences apart from youth. Having said that, I love the younger generation, for they are very forthcoming in their adulation and love, compared to them older women viewers are a bit more hesitant to expresses their emotions towards our characters."
He also feels that today's youth is much more open and accepting towards changing social mores like pre-marital sex and all.
"The biggest transition has been with women, who have become much more confident and would not hesitate in telling a guy that she loves him."
So did the same happen between him and Sanaya Irani ( Khushi of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon) "No, I proposed to her, she took a couple of months time before saying yes. Although she also liked me, she was not sure whether the attraction was just due to the fact that we were working together (in Miley Jab)."
So did he pester her for the answer, "I was always confident that she would come around, but I would send her flowers to remind her of my love. I still do the same even now. I personally spend around a couple of hours at the florist to arrange a really unique bouquet for her." (Damn romantic)
At the work front, Mohit says that he is not "uncomfortable" doing an intimate scene on screen depending on the script and "the importance of that particular scene to the narrative."
Fair enough. But will he throw a fit if Sanaya has to do a steamy sequence? "No, I know it's her work. I never force my decisions down her throat. She will have to take her own call. I won't be there to monitor the scene but you never know I just might turn up at set as part of a normal road trip (smiles). We trust each other fully and are not insecure about our partners working with good-looking guys or gals," he ends.
