@Kirti :Just read your take about Scindia family thought process and very very well written 👏👏👏...My father's side r a joint family and I hv seen this time table pattern and orthodox lifestyle there too ...I feel joint families think the only way to maintain the decorrum of the house and keep it all civilised and united is to set a proper time table and follow it ...but at times it might look like a military rule from outside even though those who r regularly living in that joint family and r used to it ,will hv no issues ...depends on perspective ...
