Rohit's last show? | ||
| ||
Wonderful. It has been a great learning experience for me so far. I think I have come a long way from Swabhimaan to Viraasat.
How did you bag the role of Rahul in Viraasat?
I got a call from the producer of the show Ravi Chopra but it was for a different role. But after we met, he decided that I would play Rahul.
You seem to fit into the groove of a lover boy too well. Any comments?
I agree that I'm playing a lover boy in Viraasat but he's different. Rahul is an honest and straight-forward person who is committed to all his relationships. It is an angry and intense role but he knows how to control his anger. Earlier when I was doing Swabhimaan, it was a totally different character where Rishabh was an intense and aggressive person who could do anything for his love.
You are working with some of the biggest actors on television. How do you feel?
Yes. All my co-actors including Kiran Kumar, Aman Varma, Amar Upadhyay, Sangeeta Ghosh and Jayati Bhatia are very dear friends. They all are extremely dedicated professionals and it is a great experience working with them.
You have also tried your hand on the silver screen. Your take on this.
I have done four films and all of them have been with good banners. As long as I get good roles, it does not matter if the medium is films or television.
Your brother Ronit has reached the height of success. How do you describe your relationship with him?
Ronit is like a father figure to me. I have had the good fortune of working with him in Sarrkar. We used to share the same make-up room and shooting was the longest time that I spent with him. I must say he is a fabulous co-star and it has been a great experience working with him. While doing scenes with him in Sarrkar, I didn't have to act. It all came naturally to me.
Are you looking forward to working with your wife Mansi?
Oh, I'm dying to work with her! We did Nach Baliye together and it was very special.
Your future plans... | ||
I have had this long-standing romance with TV. But Viraasat in all probability will be my last show. |
