Ofcourse we can debate WHERE the money itself would go; or what percentage of it is actually used for the greater good. But the fact is that its still cheaper then building prisions and keeping addicts there who try to fund their habbits by commiting crimes, and dealing (because it's always the DEALER that goes to jail: not the Boss).
Ofcourse, we need to figure out where the line is: is weed OK, but Coke and Heroin not? That's the big factor: we don't know where to draw the line.

Exactly!! I agree with that, and that's another reason why I would not want it to be legalised, because that means once it's legalised, the "wow" factor of Marijuana disappears, and immediately humans might turn to Cocaine and Heroin as they are illegal and still have the 'wow' factor in them.
As many people believe, Marijuana is a gateway drug. Therefore by making it legal aren't we greatly increasing the risk of people trying out worse drugs?

I agree about the dealers going to jail, but then my point still comes down to the same thing. Dealing Marijuana is a lot better compared to dealing Heroin and Cocaine. If we legalise it, that means dealings of this drug disappears, but the other drug dealings would continue. So in other words, we now need to legalise every drug to make the dealings go away?
Agreed that it should be a personal choice of whether you want to do this or not, however the amount of deaths that happen due to secondary smoking, drug overdose, etc, shows that while people have that choice, they do not have the sense or the responsibility not to abuse it. And by legalising it, I don't think the responsibility is going to come.
