Part 2

Kalyani was worried but she didn't say anything to Meera... "lets go inside..."

Meer went to her room... Kalyani and Mrs Das were talking...

Kalyani "i think there is something inauspicious...i can feel..."

Mrs Das "Kalyani don't worry...just complete all the rituals in a right way...nothing will happen..."

Kalyani "yes...i think you are right...let me close the main door.. otherwise the dust will come inside"

Kalyani got up to close the door when she was shocked to see the lemon and chilli that she had tied on the door turned all black "didi...come here"

Mrs Das walked towards the door "oh no...how did this happen??"

Kalyani "i told you didi...something is wrong..."

Mrs Das "if you get worried like this...then everyone will ask...don't tell anyone know...see all are so happy...now you go to sleep...we will think something tomorrow"

Kalyani was wondering why everything is happening against the customs...

Meera sat on the bed...waiting for Rohan... she looked at her hand...then looked at the window that was banging due to the wind...she got up to close the window when her eyes saw the scariest thing ever...

after few minutes...

Rohan entered the room...he saw her sitting on the bed... "Meera"

Meera was nervous...she didn't look at him...

slowly he touched her hand...she moved a little...

Rohan "Meera...we are starting our new life from today...and I want you to always be with me and my family...to me my family is very important..."

Meera looked at him and smiled "i know"

he slowly touched her cheeks and came closer...after caressing her he kissed her cheeks...she closed her eyes... he made her lay on the bed...and lay next to her... "Meera...we don't know each other...and I want you to be comfortable with me before we start our relation..."

Meera smiled and lay her head on his strong arm...while her hands curled over his chest... he hold her waist tightly...both slept soon after talking for some time...

Next Day...

Mrs Das "we must consult the priest of the temple"

Kalyani "but didi, how can I go now...Meera will step in the kitchen today..."

Mrs Das "we can go after we have done with the rituals..."

Meera woke up and looked at Rohan...she immediately moved away as if she didn't remember anything that happened last night...she looked at him...he was handsome, she smiled shyly...

she went to change... "why couldn't I remember anything"...she was confused... her head was spinning...she hold the door of the bathroom...and stood still...her body felt weaker... it was difficult for her to stand for few seconds...

Rohan woke up and looked around...his hands went on the other side of the bed...he smiled and got up from bed... he walked towards the bathroom...it was locked from inside... "Meera"

Meera filled up the bucket and took the mug...dipped it in the bucket to fill with water and poured over her... she couldn't hear Rohan outside...

when she finished bathing...was about to take the towel from the rod...when her foot slipped and she fell over the other side and her head hit against the wall...she touched her forehead...it was bleeding... she quickly wore her clothes and came out...

Rohan was siting on the bed...she came out with her hand on her forehead...he looked at her... "Meera...what happened??.."

Meera showed him the bruise...he quickly got the first aid box... "don't move...let me bandage you"

she gazed lovingly as he bandaged her... when he completed...she was still looking at him...he came closer and kissed her cheek...she blushed... "i '.i have to go"

Rohan "be careful"

Meera smiled shyly...

Kalyani saw the white bandage on Meera's forehead... "what happened...how did you get this..."

Meera "nothing ma...i was having bath and my foot slipped...its just a small bruise...please don't worry"

Kalyani "oh no...one after the other bad things are happening..."

Mrs Das "Kalyani please control yourself...Meera will get worried.."

Kalyani took Meera inside the kitchen to perform other family customs...

Two days later...

Kalyani took the holy book and a black thread from the priest... "thank you so much...i will give it to my daughter in law"

Meera was packing bags as they had to leave for Delhi...

Kalyani hurriedly came back home "Meera...beta you take this with you..."

Meera looked at the holy book and a black thread

Kalyani "this is for your good life..." she kept it on the table...

Rohan came out of the bath "Meera...can you please pass my clothes on the bed..."

Meera turned to give clothes to Rohan... he hold her hand as she tried to pull away...

After some time...

Rohan and Meera were ready to leave...

Kalyani "Rohan don't forget...you are not alone now...take care of my daughter in law..."

Rohan smiled

Meera shyly lowered her eyes...

soon they left for station...

Kalyani was worried... "didi...i can only pray that everything goes smooth between them..."

The maid was cleaning the room when she saw the holy book and black thread on the table...she called Kalyani and gave it to her

Kalyani "oh my God...Meera forgot this on the table...what will happen now???"

Mrs Das "its too late they must be on the train now...we can only pray for her"

Kalyani was upset... "bad things never let us do anything"

After few hours...

Rohan and Meera reached Delhi... Rohan was working in a multinational company, and lived in the flats provided by the company people... the flat was on the second floor...

Rohan "come...you open the door..."

Meera shyly took the keys and tried opening the door but she couldn't...she tried again...

After few seconds...

Rohan watched her "Meera...your hands are too soft...but this lock is not so hard...give it to me..."

he opened the door...Meera was surprised as how could she not open the door...but she forgot and went inside...

the flat was big with the lounge, dinning table and a big kitchen downstairs and two rooms upstairs...

Rohan was getting late for work... "i used to live alone here...but now we will live together...Meera I have to report at my job...don't worry I will come soon"

Meera nodded her head '..

Rohan "you can rest...when I come back, we will go for dinner outside..."

Meera smiled...and locked the door as Rohan left...

After few hours...

Meera woke up and heard some noise... she looked at the clock it was 7:00pm...

she went downstairs...someone was knocking at the door...

she quickly opened thinking it was Rohan...

Meera "yes...how can I help you???

Sumita "hi I am Sumita '..i am your neighbor... I saw you in the afternoon today...i got something for you"

Meera smiled "please come in..."

Sumita "what's your name??"

Meera "Meera"

Sumita "nice name...here keep this in the kitchen...i thought you must be tired so I made some food for you"

Meera "thank you..."

Sumita "my husband works in the same company...and I stay alone all day...but when I saw you...i thought I won't be alone now...i live in the opposite flat..."

Meera "where???"

Sumita "just in front of your flat...you can see from the kitchen window..." she smiled...

Meera "thanks for coming...i thought it was Rohan"

Sumita "Rohan is a very good person...we know him since last two years...my husband always appreciates him..."

After few minutes...

Sumita "i will leave now...will come later, you take care..."

After Sumita left Meera went towards her room to change and freshen up...she heard the door bell again...

Meera opened the door...it was Rohan...

Meera "i was waiting for you...i am ready"

Rohan "good...lets go..." he looked tired...

Meera "i think I can cook today...we can go some other day"

Rohan "are you sure??"

Meera "yes...now you please go and change...i will make dinner..."

Rohan was happy...he kissed her on the cheek...she blushed...

After few hours...

Meera was cleaning the kitchen while Rohan was reading a book...

she turned off the lights at the stairs and was about to step in her room when her head started spinning...her eyes closed for a second... another moment she went inside the room...Rohan had been waiting for her...

He wrapped his well-toned arms around her slender body and kissed her rosy cheeks one after the other...after each kiss and she smiled as he hugged her tighter, closer...

Next Morning

Rohan was getting ready "Meera...Meera..."

Meera was making breakfast when she left the kitchen and went upstairs "yes"

Rohan "Meera...i might come late today...so you can have dinner..."

Meera "i will wait for you..."

Rohan quickly had his breakfast and left for work...

After few minutes...she heard some noise from the bathroom...the tap was left open...she quickly closed it...then walked downstairs... she thought of reading a book... then went to sleep...

After few hours...she cooked dinner... she didn't feel like eating alone...

she covered it nicely and kept it on the dinning table then went upstairs...

she was sleeping when she heard some weird noises...it was dark...there wasn't any light as of the power cuts...

As she walked downstairs she could hear the noise more clearly...she was sweating...she was scared...her heart beat was louder...she slowly got down the stairs and looked around...she tried to hear the sound...

her ears went towards the dinning table...she couldn't see anyone...but she could hear the noise... she was scared...she bent down to look under the dinning table...she was horrified to see the same woman she saw in the train, licking her fingers full of food that she had made...

Meera screamed as the woman smiled at her...while licking her fingers and hungrily eating the food... Meera ran towards the kitchen sank and vomited... she was scared to death... after few seconds she gathered herself towards the main door... she opened the door and ran outside...

She reached Sumita's flat and knocked twice...

Sumita opened the door "Meera!!! what happened...???

Scared Meera couldn't speak up anything... "i...i..."

Sumita "please come in..."

Meera went inside her house... Sumita gave her some water... "Meera...relax have some water..."

Sumita "what happened??? you look so scared"

Meera "i...i saw her..." she was sweating with fear...

Sumita "who???"

Meera "the...the ghost woman..."
