in some other thread poeple were discussing what gauri said to jagiya. ab tum job chhodo aur ghar baitho.

i came across lots of reactions like he is only good in house work.

to cook and ghisofy bartan.

launder clothes and be a driver.

i found it very odd. this forum is visite dby the "in generation" . is this how poeple think of house work?

is it just gauri's work to do after being back from the hospital? is it only working woman's job to take care of all the house work after she comes back ?? thoh she may be equally tired ?

in another thread "jagiya's paradise lost" . people were saying his life was paradise when he had food on plate ooked by anandi. is idea of paradise for men is just that. bechari anandi sirf isiliye achhi hai kyunki wo khana bana ke jagiya ki plate sajati hai. uski baaki qualities gayi tel lene.

aur gauri buri hai kyunki thak ke aa kar wo poora house work nahi kar paati yaa pregnancy me house work nahi kar paayi to jagiya ko karna pada.

we are calling jagiya MCP, agreed but our soch? what do we call that?

we still think house work is composed of menial taska fit to be done only by the woman, if the man does it he is doing somthign beneath his dignity.

a wife is only a good wife if she cooks and serves her husband.

i stay abroad and my husband helps me out with dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundering clothes everything. im very busy with baby and th mess she creates that by the end of the day im unable to manage everything. he pitches in even if i ask him to take rest he wont. my husband never shies away from cooking.his beloved hobby is cooking!!!! usko ro kna padtA HAI cooking se.

putting a morsel of food in the mouth of ur loved ones, ye kab se bura ho gaya?

infact the only quality of jagiya which i liked was, he always volunteered for the house work and never mad eit an ego issue. he cared for gauri so much. he may be a lot of things but this is not something he shud be insulted or put down for. but i guess eventually even CV's plan to show it all in a poor light.

also IMO anandi is far far better person than gauri but thats just not becuase of her ability to do house work.

The comments have nothing to do with demoralizing or trashing house husband, we all know Jagya has a larger-than-life ego, and the concept of him sitting at home while wife goes to work will be a huge blow to his ego. Also, there is nothing wrong with being a house husband provided, the wife herself does not put down her husband for being one, which Gauri will definitely do. All this translates to Jagat being tortured one way or another and that's what we want.

Coming to Jagya being very accomodating, that is only to Gauri, and only because he wants to please her. This is the same Jagya who used to yell at Anandi that she is fit only for kitchen work and that she smells of masalas., Why Anandi alone, he has even yelled at Gauri for packing only a sandwich for lunch and not a 3 course meal. So all his cooking and helping out really is just him trying to make up with Gauri

i can see your point. but i would like to add that jagiya wud descend into oblivion becuase gauri is more talented and qualified. that itself is enough. hosue work has nothing to do with it. becuase nowadays many boys volunteer for hosue work. many reasons, wif ei sworking, maids are costly and unreliable.

i did not like the disparaging approach towards mutual co operation thats all.

cool down dear, why u r taking tension. we all making fun of Jogia position, who humiliated Anandi of being chulla chakki wali and himself become the same. there is no need to raise the woman rit and woman equality questions. almost all comments r from woman itself and most of thm r highly educated and broad minded. Jogia is being mocked by his behaviour and not becoz a man doing house hold work.

arre baba main women's rights chillane wali feminist nahi hun. im just an ordinary woman. stuck abroad whre house maids ask for 30 dollars for one hour , for three days a week!!! and with a hyper kid teh hous eis in mess and im alone. jogiya ke baare me bahut si baatein hain usko uski aukaat dikhane wali usne ek achh akaram kiya usko kyu dhona?

avantika baat yahaan 24 ghante mein ghar mein baithni ki hai.jisne mbbs qualify ki ab use gauri ke kehne ke 24 ghante ghar ke kaam kaaj karne padenge.mbbs degree ka to khachra ho gaya

We r just making fun of Jogia who left Anandi and jaitser for glittering city life but ended up doing house work 😛

There's no harm in doing housework for guys...but here he's wasting his MBBS degree and he has a big Ego so we r just having fun on his plight..no need to take things to ur heart 😊

That term of co-operative hubby would be fine if Jagya, like Gauri, was working both in a hospital, and then helping Gauri w/ the chores. But here, he'd just be staying @ home and doing chores. Just like a housewife would be someone who only stays @ home and does the chores, Jagya's would be the converse of that.

IMO, not that there's anything wrong w/ it. Although I suspect that most women would have a problem w/ such an arrangement from their hubbies.
