Maybe it was the fact that I wasn't expecting much or the after-effects of the promo, but I simply LOVED the episode.
First, finally J showed the much dreaded video clip. The way she acted and created this huge drama in front of the family and how when the clip was actually a fake one and no one believed her, it was all significant. The expressions of the family changed from confusion to rage in an instant. Completely khoda pahaar nikla chuha scenario. J kept on looking at UV and when she realized that she had been played with, I kinda felt bad for her but I got to see my UV smirking :P Plus, Manyata declared it officially that the one she trusts the most is UV and no one else because he stood beside her when all was against her. This could be pretty significant in the future when Aakash would re-enter. Two scenarios are possible:
a) Aakash would come and blame UV for his disappearance and Manyata would have a hard time accepting this fact because before and after Aakash's disappearance, it was UV who supported her. Before, by apologizing to Aakash and trying to make his life get back on track. After, by going against the entire family and helping Manyata look for Aakash through police and during her protest track. I mean, M loves A but she hasn't ever trusted him blindly like she does UV. J is right, M has put blind faith on the people who she should despise. This kind of faith won't be shaken even if A comes back and screams to the world that UV is the one behind his disappearance. Solid proof would be needed to support this fact.
b) When truth comes out and M gets all the proof against UV, she'd be shattered. Because UV was the ONLY ONE who has always supported her right from the start when she hated him. Her best friend, her mentor, her savior; he is this huge pillar for her. I am guessing she might be in denial at first but after that, maybe she does something reckless in her anger at UV. So much could happen.
The M remembering A scene. I did not find any flaw in it. M has become a Yuvrani only for A. For once, I found no problem in her Aakash jaap. Why? This girl is in love no matter how much we scream that it's just an infatuation or a teenage crush. The things she have done for A, it's not like a switch that one crown would turn it all off. Monia or Manyata, her loyalties lie with A only. Something very huge like her responsibilities to her state or realizing the fact that A isn't all that saintly which she thought him to be is needed to shake her love for him.
The UV-DS scene? SUPERB! I am sorry but I find no fault in UV for standing there, smirking at his victory. Because that is UV's character. He is always the one who gets what he wants, by hook or by crook. He has never thought of consequences. I am happy to see him standing there with a smirk on his face than see him in tension all the time like a scared cat because he "killed" someone. That's pathetic. UV is a born winner, he gets his way no matter what. Sure, as audience we might feel that what he had done was wrong but if we stand in his shoes and think that he is being born and raised in a royal, political family, where everything is fine as long as you get what you want. That is politics. Feelings of others aren't even worth two cents in this game. UV's thinking is all political with a mixture of heart because he loves Manyata. The path he has taken to get Manyata is wrong, I agree. But that was his political thinking. The ultimate test of his love would be if Manyata agrees to forget his political thinking because of his hearty feelings.
DEK is technically a political show, not a love story. The track at hand of CVs is BRILLIANT and they are dealing with it amazingly. It's strong, suspenseful, gripping with a touch of some hearty moments. Sure, many are disappointed that ManVeer aren't been given proper focus but GUYS! C'MON! Look at the show at a whole. It's better than it ever was. Every episode is so enjoyable. So much politics and selfish feelings of all the characters is what making this show so enjoyable. No romance can compare to this royal drama. I heartily approve of it!
