I think its just the Indian mentality making a big deal about it. Sex before marriage isn't a huge thing really, however the number of people you have sex with can be a problem. You don't really go around sleeping with 20 people (maybe you do, but thats the problem i guess)

Religion has absolutely nothing to do with it. Just my opinion
