After all, how could Gauri haters hate Gauri and Anandi haters hate Anandi without the presence of our male protagonist? Is he still counted as a protagonist?

I'll say something first: I'm glad how Jagat listened to his heart and formed a relationship with Gauri despite being married. How brave of him to disregard society's norms and his family's honour and happiness! This takes guts guys, I mean can you imagine leaving behind everyone who cares about you in order to be with your latest love? No? That's because you aren't brave like Jagat.
