I like Mads better, but Rekha is pretty good as well but I seen more of Madhuri films so I've to go with her.

Rekha, for sure. Although I voted for Madhuri in the Madhuri vs Sridevi topic, here I would vote for Rekha. No actress, including Madhuri, could pull the role of Umrao Jaan better than our dusky Southern beauty. She was always a treat to watch.

Rekha herself said in 2004 that she sleep-waked through Umrao Jaan. I don't think it was that spectacular a performance. Her best is surely Khoon Bhari Maang [1988].

Madhuri was also at her very best in her latter years. Devdas, Lajja, Pukar amongst others.

It's hard to choose because they're so different. At a push I'd go for Mads because she has a supernatural quality on screen.

Whether she sleepwalked, moon-walked, or baby-talked (Oh, how silly. That even rhymes 😆), she still is the epitome of acting and woman power and grace for me.. 😃

Oh boy!

Do we really need to keep on choosing between actresses?

Given the fact that the Hindi film industry has very less to offer to the actresses, I wonder how and when some of them (at least) get a chance to perform. As a result, we are over run with plastic dolls who are more or less like tissue paper.

However, everybody has their own preferences based on couple of facts. Doesn't help if we try to keep on bringing down others, and it would also help if some of these people keep their mouth shut at least.

Given the dearth of good roles throughout, am sure somebody ahs done some good work somewhere, irrespective of whether we like them or not.
