Ok, I know this is counter intuitive but I just LOVED today's episode! It was so precise and well-executed that the drama really actually touched me and made me feel for the characters in a way that an episode as one unit has not made me feel for a while now. Of course there have been scenes and story lines that have been wonderful but I will go so far as to say that this is the best episode since Krishna's BDO training days.

And to be honest I am so relieved because they could have easily made a huge mess of things but they didn't. Now for things I loved about the episode:

1. DC being sensible
I think for the first time, the DC was sensible in his approach to Krishna. They were able to have a rational discussion as colleagues and Krishna was able to convince him of the need for her course of action. She was very professional in that she gave a small dead line of one hour, just to make sure that what they were seeing was true (which she knew it wasn't). Like the DC said there is a difference between shak and sabooth but Krishna was able to convince him that she wanted just one hour to turn that shak into sabooth. I also liked the contrast between them. The DC's priority is to get the job done, while Krishna wants to get to the truth but the good thing is that he saw she was right in her decision and he allowed her her time.

2. The contrasting actions of the two brothers
This was probably one of my favourite things about the episode. I love how while Pintu went off in his unorthodox way, Babloo tried to cover the legal bases. While one prepared for the worst case scenario, the other refused to accept anything other than the best case. I have fallen in love with Babloo Singh more than ever today because he has a thinking head on his shoulders and he is so practical and no nonsense. Not that Pintu's method was less effective, just not attractive to me personally. But I like how each brother respected the other but went on their own path. It also showed how beyond the help of law TTS's doings are though that nothing really worked in their favour.

3. Bihari's Role
Even this was well justified today. I have to admit that when I saw his face, I was like, no the episode is so good so far, nooo, but then they surprised me. It made perfect sense for him to have called the press people because they were getting something out of it two, ie the scoop. Unlike when he manipulates the DC and the DC believes him for no reason at all, the press people had a lot to thank Bihari for today. So it made sense and sort of restored some dignity to the recently caricatured Bihari. I also like how he set things in motion for the hot-headed Akash to go back on his word. They also highlighted Akash's obsession with his image rather than his job and that weakness was so obvious today when he caved under the pressure of the press. He needs to learn how to handle them from our own Krishna because she has always been a pro!

4. VP is out!
To be honest I am much more worried about Krishna when she is separated from VP than when she is separated from Pintu. Today we see her already stronger for having her father back, his innocence proven and his honour restored. I love how she confronted the police and ordered them not to arrest Ganga because she had been promised an hour and she expects people to live up to their promises. She really did as much as she could, short of physically yanking the warrant and running away with it, to stop it from happening but there was really nothing she could do. True, she couldn't face Pintu but she did tell him with a firm, calm voice that she could not stop the police. I just love how this girl never minces her words, even when they are the hardest for her to say.

5. They totally convinced me!
I said a few days back when the promo came out that I would have to be really convinced of how this MU came about and I am happy to say that I am! While there was nothing that Krishna could have done, I can understand why Pintu feels cheated by her and being in the emotional state that he is, he lets anything spew out of his mouth. This is where he is the opposite of Krishna. In times of extreme emotion she goes completely quiet and says not a word. The precap, heartbreaking as it is, was also kind of exciting. Prishna needed some tadka in their relationship and this will be it.

Pintu will no doubt regret those words that came from a combination of guilt, for what happened to his mother when he had left the house and she begged him to come back, and the sense of being betrayed. Though it wasn't really Krishna who betrayed him, she is going to be taking the brunt, just like she does with everyone else. 😡 Good thing she has VP by her side though. 😊

@Sam - As I had said in my earlier posts that if the track warrants them to be kept apart, that's fine with me as long as the storyline is compelling, coherent and well justified. I felt that today's episode met all my expecations for this separation track. I am fine with the reasoning of their separation. Today's episode was the best and if this does n't improve the TRP, then I am not sure what else would.
I too loved the entirely different thought process and approach by the brothers. One is careful, analyzes and makes rational decisions. The other is impulsive and quick and wants immediate response to his actions.
Can Ganga get any more lucid picture of TT than this? Is she really that dumb to not know that TT did not as to wince when he finds out from Pintu that she is going to be jailed because of his mis deeds. She did her part and said that she would go to jail even though she is falsely accused but TT had to wait till Pintu put on a drama of him going to take his own life. I am not saying that you should not love/value your kids but I did not see any concern for Ganga's respect or dignity. This should be an eye opener for Ganga but instead she will have more hatred towards Krishna who now in addition to Ganga has also fallen in Pintu's eyes.
If it is anything, Pintu should learn something and that is Krishnsa abides by rules and regulations and she did not show any lax in her father's arrest considering that she knew he was innocent all along. Does it really make a difference if it is a woman and it is his mom? I guess it does for him. He should do the same that Krishna did and gather facts/evidence to prove Ganga innocent instead of accusing her of not keeping her promise. She is an officer who tried her best to fulfill her promise but ultimately did her job.
I am pleased with the way the CVs have handled this track and it is a well justified separation between the two. Hopefully, Pintu finds a job and stands on his own feet and not move back in to become TT's puppet again. That is my only concern.

Love the analysis, what makes this serial a go for me is that they have kept Krishna's character together, she is who she is and believes in the right and nothing wrong! She had her father arrested and now she will do the same for Ganga, does Pintu not realize how hard it must have been for her to do that with VP. Tun Tun will and can not stand up to tell the truth, r u kidding me! He's a coward based on lies. The one that will get Ganga out of this will be Krishna herself! Pinto Singh better eat his words, nahin toh he will get my danda! Babloo Singh, awww I love this guy, very consistent with is his character too!

Thanks Sam. Thanks Priya.

Seems a good one today. It will take a while for me to watch, but I already feel sedated at this outcome...so not in a rush to see the episode.

From what both of you have recounted here, I feel now relaxed that the Baba said Krishna will shine, be successful and reach the top and no one will be her side. Mind it, I who has this bad habit of infusing but everywhere, I am using AND.

Its because that isolation for now will give Krishna the much needed catapult to her personal status. She by her nature is humble and yet relentlessly strong for upholding truth. And yet no one really understands her and takes her humility for granted. And she is slighted far too much by her loved close ones.

I would want Krishna to use the newfound gap to generate a charisma of her own that has emittance of strength...a kind that can silence Bihari, Dihati and Pinky and never call her koyla khadaan again...at least never on her face...a kind that will put Ravi in his place. And same applies to Saraswati and Ganga...and Pinto regretful of today's emotional reactions.

And hope this period of seperation also salvages Pinto of his joblessness even if that is to clean his father's messes in the family business...

Hope they continue the solitary journey for Krishna for a while, like I wished...pata chala. Vidya choot gaye, family wah-wah karne mein lagi hai 😳

@kt25: I completely agree. The thought of separation never bothered me too much but I was petrified that they would make it really contrived as it generally ends up being on TV. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised by how real this felt in terms of characterisation and story, which is what made me enjoy today's episode so much.

I think we are all fervently hoping for Pintu to get on those two feet of his!

@Geets: So true, in most serials the protagonists are stretched in so many different directions that the characterisation can often go for a toss. Here, they mess around with the negative characters rather than the positive ones, so we get to enjoy our protagonist being the human heroine we all love to see and can feel proud of on a daily basis!

@Shri: Yup, it's a good one. I think you will approve. They even had paper work! 😃

@ Samna, this is why I watch this show, just cause of the main protagonist, she is awesome! Even with Ganga, she will get her out of this mess no doubt! Pinto will feel bad, then again they need a break from each other so the story can move on!

Krishna against DC

The DC made a promise to Krishna which he could not keep as he crumbled under the pressure of the press. As Sam said it was more important that his image be protected at all costs and the job must be carried out without any allowances to human emotions.

Krishna against Police.

The Police has at last let go of Krishna's father Vidhyapathi but because of the DC rescinding on his promise given she could not do anything to stop the warrant arrest of Ganga Devi. She cannot the stop the machinations as it is because to meddle with it be breaking all sorts of order in the legal process.

Krishna against TTS

TTS has come face to face with losing his son literally with his son threatening to kill himself. Babloo and Pintu might be on different paths to achieve a result which is to not let Ganga be arrested. Ganga should have woken up from her stupor the minute he did not agree to stand by her with his silent wasting of time without agreeing to Pintu on the spot. TTS' wants his son back at all costs and I think he is going to achieve that and make Krishna loose Pintu in the grand scale of things to come.

Krishna against Ganga Devi

Ganga is of the mind that Pintu is still under the spell of Krishna and she thinks he will not stand by his father and will only stand by Krishna now. Ganga has also said as much that Krishna is using power to achieve her means and she is getting big headed. Krishna however has given time to Pintu to prove that his mother is innocent and that people have set her up to prove that she is guilty. But without proper proof what could she do to help Ganga.

Krishna against Bihari and Chaubey.

Bihari has played his cards in secret by using the media to hassle DC Akash and engineered a situation that he had to go back on the promise he made to Krishna on giving her one hour to let Pintu prove that Ganga is innocent. I feel that Bihari and Chubey should also loose in the future. It is not very realistic to show the antagonists winning all the time without any personal consequences. Bihari has had only one set back due to Krishna indirectly which was Pinky loosing on her marriage.

I feel that Chaubey should get his comeuppance soon in the form of administrative punishment from the BDO office. Krishna would have many rights to enforce order in her office too!

Krishna against Pintu Singh

At last the two lovers are going to separate for sometime it seems. Today both of their enemies turned out to be time itself. Time has created a distorted illusion and a misunderstanding has been created between them. There was no time for Krishna to convey to Pintu that he had run out of time.

I would now like to see Pintu eat his words sweetly when the time comes by that his Krishna is never wrong and in his emotional state he has lost focus.

Anyways I'm going to enjoy this separation track. Also I would like if Pintu will air this dialogue, " Krishna I do love you very much, but I also love my mother very much!"

@Angel: I loved your take! Krishna, all alone on the mountain top, against the world it is! ⭐️ Like Shri, I too am looking forward to Krishna treading a solitary path for some time with her trusty mentor, VP by her side for when things get tough.

Question: Did Krishna promise to stall the police for an hour?
Answer: No, she said she would try. TRY.

I have been thinking about it and what Pintu said in the last scene and the precap was not only wrong but it was so hurtful! He said she trapped him, which for all purposes his him doubting her character and her honour which he had vowed to protect. And in effect he is saying she is wrong when he said that god himself couldn't convince him of that. Lame Pintu Singh, lame.

When he comes to his senses I hope he will ask himself HOW exactly she trapped him. Was it her that gave TTS the brilliant idea to have fogey NGOs and get Ganga to sign off on them? Was it her who told Ravi to get on the cable guys bad side? Oh no, wait it must have been her doing when the cable guy said Ganga's name as a witness! No? Then HOW?

And when he asked her, you couldn't stall the police for 5 minutes, I wanted to shout back, actually, she stalled them for 55 minutes, risking her job, and you didn't show up till five minutes before the stipulated time.

Anyway, I can understand why Pintu behaved the way he did, based on his character and the situation but I can't forgive him for it just yet. The CVs must work for the redemption because even if he realises his mistake, I don't think Krishna should forgive him immediately. She has her own dignity and self-worth to think of and Pintu should only be accepted back into her life when he understands what he did wrong and has a good redemption track, preferably involving a JOB.
