"Maine Anand se bahut pyar kiya tha, lekin jis waqt maine aap se shadi ki thi na, ussi waqt maine soch liya tha, ki aaj ke baad dheere dheere, mujhe aap hi ko apna pyar, apna pati apna sab kuch manna hai"

Really?? Is that what I have been watching since Anand died & they got married? I thought she couldn't stand the sight of Kunal at the time, she forced herself to marry him for the love of Anand & for his mother. I could have sworn she looked daggers at him when he applied the sindoor, she dragged her feet while taking the pheras. She even had to be reminded by Seema, that whether she liked it or not, she was married to Kunal. She didn't even want to do the karvachaut ritual. Yes, she gave the marriage all she had, but that initially was, more out of a sense of responsibility than some pledge she'd made to herself to love & honor her husband & embrace her new life. It was never her intention to make him, her sab kuch, in life.

Every little shared moment since then, every BG song clearly articulated that love had come to her softly & slowly., when she least expected it. Then why this completely out of place dialogue!? Which dimwitted creative head allowed such unthoughtfulness that it belied Kunal & Siddhi's entire journey, changed the very crux of the story!

And which knuckleheaded director didn't insist on a retake & allowed the usually 10 expressions a minute Samir Soni to go through the scenes with that dead pan look on his face? She said she loved him, where was the shock, surprise, relief, pleasure...anything? on his face?!! For crikes sake, the promo was a lot more emotive than the actual episode! He looked younger, more spruced up, not so tired & yes more in love! What happened? Throughout the episode, he looked tired & bored, like he'd rather be someplace else, maybe he was getting late for some spa opening!😡

There were other massive tech. oversights & bloopers through this very important episode but, Im going to save myself the bother of ranting, bcz it doesn't serve any purpose. The blighted confession happened, that's all that matters to the mass audience. Details? What's that?! That's only something you learn about in school'. that is, if one is lucky enough to get a decent education.

Oh, I know, Im not supposed to think while watching EK's shows, hard as I may try to suspend my brain activity, there is no stopping the message from the eyes reaching the upper story. What to do? I seem to have an IQ slightly over that of room temperature.

As for me, Im attempting to put the episode out of my head, by rewinding to the yet unmatched Holi confession.

Very well written.
And the following was brilliant:

Sifar, if you see the promo, which I saw after the epi, it was in a different dress, now someone has to be really motivated to say the same thing again n again with same intensity. Shooting promos differently from the serials is crazy, saying same things over n over agian with same intensity requires lot of passion !

Very well written and very well said Fariyal. I probably fall in the minority category of people who thought the confession was not good enough. And the promo definitely had a lot more emotional value to it, the way Kunal said I Love You in the promo was not even half as good in the actual episode. Siddhi was comparatively better but honestly Kunal's expressions were totally off, it was like he was listening to Siddhi lecture on Global Warming ...thats how serious he looked 😆. And when she said "Maine aapse pyaar kiya", Kunal's expression was as if he couldn't give two hoots about it..(haha..I agree, maybe he did have to run to the Spa opening then 😆). But really, what happened to Sameer? On top of this that blue shirt was ugly and made Kunal look a little bloated.

And for some reason it also seems that Sameer has not shot the last few episodes with the entire cast. There are always these single frame shots of him and his expressions are totally not in sync with what the other character in the scene is saying. Don't know why this happened all of a sudden but it really makes the scenes look weird and the expressions a misfit. Sameer is usually the one with the most fabulous expressions in every scene but he was totally zoned out in the confession. Quite disappointing! And good point about Siddhi's baseless dialogue, she married out of obligation and nothing else. She even told Seema the next day that their marriage wasn't a marriage at all and now she says she had decided then to make Kunal her everything...writers suffering from amnesia I guess ?...😕...On top of all this the editing was terrible again, there was no flow to the scenes and it looked very jerky from one scene to the next. The entire confession could have definitely been executed better by both actors and the writers.

Totally agree with you on this one. They completely took away the beauty of the journey by implying that it was in some sense pre-meditated.

Spa Opening 😆😆 I didn't notice his deadpan face until my second viewing when I paid more attention to him than Siddhi and it was seriously out of place ... no reaction at all?😕

But Fari when have they ever cared for details 😡

As far as I am concerned in the holi confession it was the other way around. Sameer was good, but Keerti's deadpan expressions killed the scene for me. So I am still looking for that unmatched scene 😆

@Bold 🤣 He was totally bored!

@Red I agree with you ... All of Sameers scenes except those with Siddhi have been shot using BDs. It has been very annoying because of that ... actors play off each other and as a result most of his expressions have been out of place

Though I do want to add that during the confession when he himself was speaking I thought he was good and delivered his lines in a good understated way.

Maybe the camera angles had something to do with it too, I don't know, but he looked almost like he had a hangover & couldn't wait for her to shut up😆 The blue shirt isn't helping & worst of all, I hate it that once again, he had to stand there stiff-as*** & stupid, while she mouthed her mahaan lines. Shouldn't this have been from his POV? In the previous episode, he said, even if she doesnt have the same feelings as him, parvah nahi. So wouldnt it have been more effective if he'd just sat next to her, while she sobbed & simply said I love you... I dont know what you feel for me, but ILU.

pooja, I know, it can't be easy & the best of us have our off days, but did it have to be during an episode as important as this one?

If he had simply said ILU how would she have cleared all the MUs regarding C-night and Anand. I think that was the intention of the bhashan. The intent was good. I liked the fact that she vented and he let her. It was important for him to hear her side. But emote better while hearing her, dammit.😡 When she said all the stuff about Anand, no reaction😕 The guy who tormented you all this while 😡
