Its very troublesome to see a Indian woman getting humiliated by her husband in such a fashion, even though the CVs are going to make a turn around, the way the lady is humilated is just horrible.I really hope the divorce materialises and this is not put to an end abruptly.I can't think of a woman falling in love after she has been humiliated so badly by her husband and in-laws.I think CVs have got this plot horribly wrong,If it had to be a sacrifice he could have shown anger differently by ignoring her and staying away from her. What do you guys think ?

Agree. Any sane woman including myself would have divorced such a guy.

But this is our Diya and Baati who are both completely insane, so we cannot judge them rationally. Neither we should think logically. The typical things that we ordinary men and women do, do not apply to them.😊

Great Post and agree with both the above posts...
I would like to see after all the MU cleared - Sandhya leaving that house to preserve her self-respect as now Suraj has also lost all respectibility after the horrible way he behaved no matter how noble his intentions are- the actions were unforgivable...
The Rathi family needs to learn a good lesson and each and every member who have wronged Sandhya need to be dealt with by the CVs - they cannot leave loose ends like most shows do regularly...
Suraj character has been killed the moment he changed his behaviour - CVs pls redeem his character by showing him getting back every pain, insults, humiliations inflicted by his family members starting with Bhabho...

been there done that. ths topic has been discussed 2 death in ths forum. but no change in story watsoevr. its better for us as viewers to imagine sandy as an illiterate dumbo like gopi in SNS. probly thn th story wud make sense.
i still don undrstand y th CV's planned for an IPS aspirant whn she cant evn handle ppl in her family. its better for sandy 2 aspire 2 b a teacher or a doctor. she can afford 2 b timid n dull in such professions. but as an IPS, she'd b a dismal failure.

Agree with your post Serenity2011
i feel that we have never heard Sandhya's POV on why she still continues to live in that house and cringe at her husband's touch...
The reason for her decision to stay is not very clear as well - although she tells her friend Preeti that she made the decision to stay in the marriage and is following the values her family instilled in her...
In not so many words she has also at some occasiions with her brother Ankur mentioned that it is easy to talk abt leaving but Marriage is not a game to be taken this lightly when relationships are involved...
But I still dont understand why she is frightened everytime her husband touches her? Is there some secret fear that originated on the night of her wedding when Bhabho gave her a lecture on producing a grandson within a year?
Is it the fear that if she gets pregnant her dream of becoming IPS will be lost forever?
She may be still harbouring the possibility of that dream becoming a reality some day...
And yes Serenity2011 I agree that so far there are so many contradictions in Sandhya's character-
On one hand she fights against injustice and wrongs in the community...
Within her own family when the injustice is against herself she is docile and timid
she is very idealistic like you said and that could be because she is still very young and inexperienced in life besides like ppl in the forum mentioned earlier she is bookish and has not really faced the realities of life faced by working ppl...
In reality, any1 trying to fight corruption suffers and gains nothing as corruption is so deep rooted and steeped in the Indian psyche and system at all levels...
She may win some fights like the garbage bins and things which involve the residents in the community but when it is the system she has to fight against it is not so easy...
This is all going to be a learning process on her way to realising her dreams I guess.

The only way to solve all the humiliation is to leave and show her doing her IPS training, getting more confident and marrying someone else who will respect her and treat her right.

Which the CVs will NEVER do guaranteed...coz they don't want to rent another set, and hire another second hero. So Sandy is staying in hanuman Gali no matter what. In every Hindi serial, husband and wife sleep separately after marriage for at least 6 months. And then after they truly fall in love, then CVs forget to show us any bedroom or close scenes 😔 or they don't want to thinking of Indian Family values.

There are always extra rugs, blankets, mattresses, sofas in the bedroom ready from the first night. This is the highest level of romantic scene our CVs can think of.

Coming back to the torture track, I think this torture will go on, in the form of different Avatars at different times, until TRPs drop, new shows claim top positions, and the necessity to wind up this show begins. then hurriedly in 2 weeks they will show Sandhya becoming IPS officer , all the villainous Rathis changed to good souls overnight and they live happily ever after.

I think yes torturing in any form is bad...but i guess atleast in DABH forum i get to see only women centric views.

How Sandhya is getting tortured and this and that...but can we spare a thought for Suraj?

Isn't he getting tortured? He did no wrong in this mess...Sandhya is the one who can;t make a decision...

She should not have got married just for ger bro's sake and should have left Suraj the moment she got to know of the lie.

She is forcing Sooraj to live a loveless marriage with a confused girl...who can;t decide for herself, except that she has been wronged.

Her brother wronged her...go and slap him.

She can;t even see how much Suraj loves her, respects her wishes, doesn't get influenced with what Bhabo says.

Now, her in-decisiveness has forced Suraj to sacrifice his love and good nature and force Sandhya to make a decision.

Also, how many people(men/women) would live a marriage when your spouse doesn't love you, cannot even bare your touch?

Doesn't know what he/she wants from the marriage?

In my view, everyone is at fault including Sandhya and Suraj too... I failed to understand Sandhya's decision staying back at house. If its just because of her upbringing then she should understand real meaning of marriage as well. Its not always she should expect Suraj to do something for her, she need to put herself with equal dedication not for Suraj but for his family as well. But she expects Bhabho and everyone to give her respect which is too ideal as expectation... Secondly her behavior towards Suraj when he gets physically close to her. If she is not at all prepared for any mental or physical relation with him, when she herself telling him she cant love him. Whats the point of staying there?? For hearing Bhabho's taunt or just to prove that her parent's upbringing was so great...

Suraj on other hand i will say why he cant stand against Bhabho atleast once when she is wrong... Dont he has his own thinking to decide something rather than being dependant on his wife or mother?? This way he will be always pissed off between either of them...

No comments about Bhabho from my end...

Completely agreed with u all.. Even i wonder why Sandhya is silently bearing all these tortures without talking for herself and standing up against her taunter MIL and Her hubby's taunts.. Many a times I have felt that she should have listened to her friend's advise and divorced suraj and left him!!
