I have read tons of posts and post replies which say Khushi is guilty of hiding Shyam's truth.

So everyone says when Arnav regrets, Khushi should also feel guilty and take up part of the responsibility and so on.

Now I know many are not going to like this analysis. So you are free not to read on.

Let me start with the dictionary definition of guilt:.

I means 'the fact or state of having commited an offense, crime, violation, or wrong, especially against moral or penal law.

Now let's begin with the Khushi shyam relationship.

Did Khushi fall in love with Shyam?

Did she go after Shyam?

She was bullied into an angagement by Buaji and social pressure.

Now what did she do when she found out he was married? She broke the engagement. She did not commit bigamy so she did not break a penal law.

When she broke the engagement she also did not break any moral law, because she did the right thing.

Now about the second part of the crime. She hid the truth.

The whole forum knows she went to tell Anjali the truth uncaring of Payal's future. What stopped her? Anjali's weakness and mad obsession with her husband.

So she hid the truth. Again she broke no moral law. She was protecting another human being from hurt and pain, a person like Anjali who has no self worth except in relation to her husband.

To tell a person like Anjali, that her husband stayed as a PG in another house, coveted another girl and even tricked that girl and her family into engagement would literally break Anjali.

So Khushi was being noble.

It is the nobility which still makes her keep quiet. What else does she gain by it? Harassment from Shyam everyday?

So you see Khushi is guilty of nobility and not moral/ethical or legal crimes.

To me lying to protect someone is not a lie.

So I proclaim her not guilty.

A healthy debate is most welcome. But no bashing of anyone in this thread. No ASR bashing or Khushi bashing or any bashing

The verdict is NOT GUILTY. If we do assume she is guilty for keeping quiet, then Arnav is guilty for the same offence as well. You have stated her case well in the post and the only thing she is guilty of is caring too much for others.

she is guilty .. what does she think anjali deserves shyam??

ok anjali is weak couldnt she disclose it to ASR atleast?

she is guilty coz payals marriage also was on her mind not only anjali!

she is guilty but less than ASR

which is what i have always been saying too. thank you. i never quite get it when people go on about her guilt

so protecting two people is wrong? two people who are much weaker? i did not even compare her to ASR. Inher own rights she is doing this to keep harmony and happiness. what's wrong with that? what's wrong in giving anjali a chance and a chance for shyam to change. remember she thinks shyam will change

I think people are getting confused with her annoying antics. It is easy to blame Khushi when she is being OTT but you just wait. When we see her break down like post-Diwali and see her heartbreak, it will all become clear.

protecting is not wrong her way of doing it is! and i know she doesnt realize she did wrong but yes she is guilty...

she thinks shyam will change ... ??? like what makes her think so? i think ok when pregnency news came fine he could chaneg !

but all her interactions with shyam after that? cant she realise that this man is a monster still lusts her and will NOT change ! doesnt she see a need to tell a brother about this mans obsession with an another girl ?

the truth about shyam was not told to ASR by khushi ! she did not trust him enogh and hence guilty

She is guilty to a certain extent. Hiding a truth such as this, which will depend a woman's future and happiness is not right. Her intensions were good, but that doesn't necesserily mean what she did was right.

Anjali is a weakling, but she deserves to know about her husband. How she will take it cannot be determined by Kushi. For all she knows Anjali could have dealt with it in a mature manner had she disclosed it then.

I also blame the Gupthas on this account. They should have taken the upper hand to deal with a situation as critical as this.

At the end of it, all comes to a situation and judged by circumstances. Kushi was driven to hide the truth while Arnav was driven to marry Kushi by force. The acts are not comparable as I believe what Arnav did was far worse than what Kushi did out of her goodness of heart.

But both have done mistakes. Kushi is paying for hers now. Arnav's time will come soon.

Payal's marriage was not on her mind. It was on Garima and Buaji's mind. Babuji and KHushi were in favor of telling the truth. KHushi only changed her mind after going to RM and seeing Anjali's obsessive love.

She did making a huge mistake by not telling though. I would call it a mistake.

oif all the people i think she owes nothing to ASR. he was not her boyfriend or did not tell her he loved her.she only owes things to anjali and naniji who ave been nice to her. now she has no reason to think shyam will change. but when she kep quiet it was for anjali. now she is trapped inher own net. she and her sister are married into the family and she ccannot accuse a family member. and i still think khushi is naive enought to think shyam will change. some in the forum even think shyam will change
