Gurmeet plays Karate Master : The AsianAge/DC

Besides hitting out at the gym for regular workouts, actor Gurmeet Choudhary also turns to karate to bring some variety in his workout routine. The actor would now be seen teaching some of his martial arts tricks to kids in the show Punarvivaah. In fact, it was Gurmeet, who suggested writer-producer Shashi Mittal to introduce a karate scene in the storyline wherein Yash (his character) can bond with his wife's son Ansh over some self-defense tricks. "I think that being a dad to a small boy can be an uphill task at times, especially when he has known no paternal love before. What would be a better way for a father to bond with his son than over a macho sport like karate! While I teach Ansh the moves, not only will I get a chance to work out but I will also put to use the years I spent in training for karate," said Gurmeet.
The show airs on weekdays on Zee TV at 10.30 pm.

Wowww this is awesome ..gc is fabulous with his tai chi and karate moves..this will b good learning experience fr ansh too in real and i guess this is what ansh wants from his new papa ..some boyish stuff ..karathe training is perfect recipe for yash and ansh bonding...this way yash too can open up freely with ansh.. Would love to see aarti as spectator of this father and son karate training :p

Oh and you have no idea how glad I am that every article that reported this made sure to mention that it was Gurmeet who wanted this scene incorporated in the scripts, otherwise some of the fans would have eaten the CVs alive with claims of copying 😆
