The first highlight of the episode was when Krishna touched her father's feet before she began the investigation. It was a strange sort of push and pull between tension and peace because she was somehow relieved to have him there and his presence gave her strength but also she was bogged down by the reality of the circumstances where she had to hold it together and be the BDO. I like how indirectly during the investigation she was trying to figure out what had happened. It sort of made sense to me today why she hadn't asked him anything about the case before, because she had to do it in official capacity. I can't comment too much on the investigation because I got a phone call but as far as I could see it was very thorough with Akash playing bad cop and Krishna playing good (but very stern) cop.
The most touching scene of the episode was undoubtedly the lunch break scene! I was already emotional when Krishna saw VP eating that sparse meal in silence and without complaint. There is something about his unwavering cheer and good nature that is unsettling, even to me so I really felt like I was living this scene through Krishna. And what came next was as much a welcome surprise to me as it was to her!
She had chosen, for the duration of the lunch break, to be the daughter and gone out and lo and behold she sees that her Pintu ji has taken care of it! He has brought sumptuous food for VP and is sitting with him while he eats, allowing Krishna to be the BDO she needs to be at this moment. I absolutely adored the silent dialogue between the two where Pintu salutes her, signaling that he has the care-taking side all accounted for and she can be her fullest BDO self. This is what Krishna was expecting from Ravi and help came from unexpected quarters. Her tears and her nod were so heartfelt. This scene made me tear up a little too.
Ah the next scene I would title, "Krishna's Men". I loved the dialogue between the two men whom she depends on and loves and who love her the most. Both of them share this pure, untainted love for her and Pintu informally confesses that when he asks for acceptance from VP in the form of the address"beta". I loved what VP said to him about how happy he is to be in this position. It made me realise too that in many ways, VP is getting an insider look at his daughter's work and her attitude towards it through this investigation. He would have never been able to understand this much in detail her integrity, that he worked so hard to instill in her, had he not been a subject of question himself. I loved that thought.
And then Pintu pulls his fast one! I love how much this fellow thinks on his feet and he was so ishmart today that I won't even crib about his neglected job search and will instead assume that it is on, but he took a few hours' break and came to help Krishna and VP. And seeing an opportunity, he jumped at it, though he was a little creepy, being the strange uncle with the chocolate.
I loved his little plan and the way it stumped Akash. VP and Krishna sure do have truth on their side but they are such seedha log that people will take advantage. In this way once again, I saw Krishna (as in the Bhagwad Geetawala Krishna) in Pintu. He is a little teda but for the ultimate victory of dharma. He and Krishna form an excellent team, coming at the truth from two different angles. TTS' biggest mistake is underestimating his son and not taking into account what a strong ally he is, apart from just making the picture prettier (which he also does, no doubt).
I am so looking forward to the BDO - (would be) MLA face off!
