This is one of my all time faves and it always manages to bring tears in my eyes whenever I listen to it. Yesterday, while watching the KS episode, I was reminded so strongly of this song that it was a sort of jolt to me and my eyes naturally watered. Yes, I was feeling very low for both Jai and Bani.
Two of our favourite characters caught in a time-warp, it seems, and waiting for the day to end. Not knowing what the next day will bring for them. It is as if God has decided to give them their everything, both good news and bad oines, all on that same day. Why this fatefulness or fatelessness, God, may I ask? 😕 Why is it that they have to keep on suffering while trying to make things easier for others?
If on Thursday we were allowed to see Jai's recation, yesterday we were given a whole bouquet of Bani's expressions - the numbing feeling, the shock you feel when it seems that the last chance you had to do any good had been taken away with you. She was on the verge of leaving Jai and his home (thankfully, that did not happen), but she was stopped in her tracks by Mausi, who till date had been blissfully unware of the marriage of convenience that existed between her Munna and her Bahu - a marriage whose bonds had strengthened so much over time that the couple is on the verge of becoming inseparables, only being dealt a fresh blow by the Park Road secret and Jai's alleged involvement in the matter.
Yesterday, Mausi's heart also broke 😭 when she realised that all along she was fooled by all the people in the house, especially by Jai and Bani. "To err is human, to forgive divine" - perhaps, Mausi after some time, will try to wake up the divinity in her , a part of which I believe exists in all of us, and try to get our divine couple together.
The news to a couple of the possibility of the arrival of their first child is always a special occasion for any couple - now just have a look at this couple! The Father had at least expressed his happiness before the Dr. though a moment later he was hit hard by the fact that his wife would probably not welcome him with the same elan. The Mother - she's shell shocked, not because she's carrying the child and the news has come as a bolt from the blue, but because it means that she's mothering the child of that person whom she has vowed to hate for the rest of her life. It also doesn't help that she is madly in love with her husband. First, she had to take make herself un-love him and then remove her from is life. But, she has once again been given a situation, which she in all probability would not have chosen at this juncture - a situation which once again enshackles her completely.
Jai and Bani are not lucky in the sense that the time that was meant for them to spend in each other's arms in sheer bliss, has been transformed into a numbing time span - where they don't even know how to handle each other. 😕 Its good to see that Jai is trying at least to reach out to his wife, but what he says next is of vital importance. His words will actually make or break their lives. Bani, at this moment, is too perplexed and ..., i don't even have words to describe her feelings. For once, I would not want to be in her shoes. ALl of 23 years, and so much pain - she's more like a wounded spring, ready to release all frustrations but is unable her process her thought process.
Just think about all the situations and infos that she has received since that fateful evening :
- she nearly confessed her love for her husband and that too publicly
- she found out that Jai also appreciated her gesture and in fact gave her a part of the family heirlom whihc goes to the bahu of the family, that too in public
- the stupid private SMS drew her to Park Road and her husband followed suit, Sandy Bhalu was waiting there for them,
- the time bomb fiasco and Jai's confession abt accidently killing her mother 7 years ago
- those last few seconds when teh two literally became one and time stood still, until the bomb went off
- only to find out that it has been a spoof, masterminded by Roshni, to bring out the truth and antagonise Bani against Jai
- the fact that Jai was responsible for her fragmented life and that she wanted to hate him
- Mausi coming to know of the truth about her marital relation with Jai and the cricumstance under which they were married. No, Mausi did not come to know of this secret all these days, she came to know of it when she was actually celebrating over the fact that she would be a grandmom soon
- Jigs finally telling her that her pregnancy report is positive and she was sure that this child is not Jai's
- Jai slapping Jigs (how i loved this scene) and throwing her away from his life
- Jai trying to reach out to her and telling her that their relation has been cemented forever and that in every relation, he sees only her.
Enough to confuse Bani for a lifetime and make her numb regarding her own feelings. So numb, that she could not actually feel happy on the news of her pregnancy.
Yes, Prachi, the little one rocked today and showed what power silence has when all of us are busy shouting our lungs out over every trivial issues. Ram and Ashwini were also on their best spree, and the threesome and Mausi showed us what acting is all about. Loved Jai's hesitancy yet subtle anxiety to reach out to his wife. Loved Bani's sheer indifference and complete heart-broken and lost state. Loved Jigs as the new mischief-maker. Just watch the scene when she tells Bani that Mausi had to knwo about the truth one day, and that she only said what needed to be said. Watch Jai when he slaps Jigs and asks her as to who gave her the right to call his child a ******. Watch Bani when the reality of her pregnancy sinks in. And watch Mausi when she realises the enormity of the entire make-believe relation that she had been forced to watch every day and believe in it. All of them definitely deserves a big round of cheers from all of us here and so does Ekta and her creatives 👏
But, i would still ask the creatives to be more focussed as far as the direction is concerned and please give Jai and Bani a proper bedroom - their bedroom keeps on changing just like the pendulum-like motions of their relationship.
How old was Bani when Kiran died? The photo of Bani with Kiran shows that she must have been at least 17, not 13, and that makes it more real. If Bani is 20 now, what are Pia's and Rano's ages? Then they definitely married underage, given the fact that in the flashback when the three sisters were playing with their mother, the difference between Bani and her kid sisters ages were perceptible - they can't be younger by a year or so. This is my POV entirely, i may be mistaken. So, sorry in advance.
