Neat comments, as always..

I don't think DK is thinking about Ovi; there would be no reason for Arjun to have problems with her or confess anything to her. I too was curious about his not asking for the girl's name, but then that is DK all over. He will never force a confidence, even from his son. Even if he opposes what Arjun wants to do, he will do so with dignity; he will not shout and scream like the rest of the PR crew.

I think he was planning to go back to Canada and postponed his departure seeing Arjun in such a depressed state. Remember his saying "How can I go back to Canada leaving you like this?"

Thanks 😊
I agree with all you have said. 😊
Love your response in bold.

Manjusha and Manoj should just get Punni married (lol typed Pinni instead of Punni) and where the hell is that fiance of hers who was in a hurry to get married.
Hopefully Sulochna doesn't know about Purvi-Arjun warna love story ki band baj jayega.
As for Purvi, she will be initially shocked and confused after Arjuns confession but then later on(maybe after 2/3 episodes, not more creatives) she will realise she is in love with Arjun.
I'd rate the episode a bit thanda. New epi hopefully be garma garam

Alas, I fell flat on my face with that one! I never thought DK, with all his intelligence and perspicacity, would goof up big time like this. It only goes to show that even such a shrewd observer of men and matters can be fooled into believing what he wants to believe, instead of looking for the truth. Then again, he does not know of any other girl in Arjun's life, so it must have been easy for him to indulge in such wishful thinking. It also seems to be a habit of all of Ovi's wellwishers to send her progress reports about Arjun; remember Manav before the chawl function?

I am waiting to see what DK does when Arjun tells him the truth, which he will do only when he is sure of Purvi. God knows when that will be.

There is this endless worry in the forum about an ArVi romance and hopes that it will be a very beautiful one. of course they are the current romantic couple, as the intro to every episode makes clear, but I have my reservations about this ' great undying romance' happening. Sometimes I doubt if Purvi is at all capable of the kind of love Arjun has for her - very deep and almost obsessive, the kind of love that would count the world well lost for the loved one. By now, as we can all see, Arjun is prepared to jettison anything when it comes to Purvi.

By contrast, Purvi is too conventional and stilted, and her heart never wins over her head, or rather the straitjacket she has encased herself in. I cannot forget the way she responds when he stands at her door with the most pathetic expression on his face. Any girl with an iota of sense would have known that if he had really been a Casanova, he would never have tried to apologise or explain to her, but would have shrugged her off in a second.

Purvi, as the character has been developed till now, would any day throw over anything to please her mother and the rest of her 'family'. Her adoring uncritical attitude towards Manav, just because he is her 'baba', is a case in point, and I completely agreed with what Sulochana had to say about that: that Manav a good man but not a good husband. So, even if she decides to accept Arjun (and a nice windfall that will be for her), I doubt if she will be able to give him even a fraction of the love he has for her.

It is Ovi who really loves Arjun with a tenacity that matches his own for Purvi. Alas, she is going to get nowhere. As JFK once said, who told you that life is fair?

As for any trip to India by Ovi, however, I do not think it will materialise. Ovi knows now that she cannot shake off her aaji, and also that for Savita to land up in India would spell disaster for the planned divorce between Manav and Archana. As Ovi desperately wants this divorce to go thru, my assessment is that she will not risk endangering it in order to give Arjun a 'surprise'. But as I noted earlier, she will land up there at some point, and then the decibel level will raise the roof!

Shyamala B.CowsikI really liked your post and so agree with it. 😊
DK might come around later on. He will have to support Arjun, and might not create a drama the way everyone else would when they come to know of Arjun and Purvi.
Yes, Ovi's love for Arjun matches Arjun's love for Purvi in ways. What an irony. But, Ovi is more selfish, she wanted Arjun by hook or crook. Whereas Arjun is willing to let go of Purvi if she doesn't want him. That is the difference between them.Purvi's love for her mother and Aaji will I think be more than her love for Arjun, given the circumstances. And yes, Purvi seems stilted and rigid in ways, right now. But I saw several glimpses of a very romantic Purvi on that dance floor in Pune. She has it in her, somewhere buried maybe, a love that matches Arjun's love for her. Whether she brings it out or does not depends on how the writers treat her character. She is capable of it. She is capable of loving him as much.Purvi too can move mountains for Arjun once she realises she loves him, but is that where Arvi romance is headed? Or will the pull of a mother's love overpower this special love for Arjun? Only time will time. Even in real life, some children sometimes make sacrifices for their parents, family members, and I hope Purvi does not turn out to be one of those.
Also, completely agree with what you have said in bold. A casanova would not go back and try to clear a misunderstanding. He will ignore the girl in question. Only one in true love will go to such lengths as Arjun is doing.
