when arjun and ovi's enggagment date are fixed

i dont understand one think when arjun leave to india they decide to make their engaggment after he return from india and till then wait. but after watch 2 episode's it's look like they fixed he's engaggment date.because ovi say that she want to do shopping for her enggagment that will be soon and her freind say her to postpond her enggagment for another 5 6 week's. and also when arjun call her she think that he want to postpond her marriage for another 2 week's.but i don't see when they fix he's engaggment date maybe i miss this episode or this is another a blooper.and how they know when arjun back in canada maybe it will take one year or maybe he will not back atall.
