hello ppl... sorry for the long wait... and thanks to all who wished me for my exams😊... so here is the next chapter...

Chapter 12:I Will Have My Way

Arnav and khushi weren't the only ones present near the parking. There were another set of eyes present which had seen everything. Another set of eyes which held questions. Those eyes moved forward to confront arnav.

Akash: bhai, what the hell are you doing? After you told me about staying away what are you doing now?

Arnav: what? I didn't do anything.

Akash: what was that just now then?

Arnav: akash she was just thanking me for saving her. That's it. Come on if someone saves your life, don't tell me you wont be thankful.

Akash: thankful yes, but kiss that person, I think not.

Arnav: shut up akash. you are making this into something which it isn't.

Akash: nope.you are trying your level best into making it to fit your liking bhai. this isn't right.

Arnav: fine, you don't trust me, tomorrow night there is a student ball. I'll go to it with that lavanya girl and I'll ask abhay to take khushi. Ok?

Akash: but what help is that going to do?

Arnav: most likely for her to hate me instead.

khushi ran into the house blushing furiously. She had not at all intended that kiss. It just kind of happened in the moment.

She had practiced her thank you speech a million times in her head while she was sitting behind arnav in the bike, but that kiss wasn't in the plan at all.

She started to rake her mind to the time she actually was standing there.

She had continuously told her thanks without taking a break to even breathe.

After she had thanked, his eyes were the things that undid her control.

She couldn't stop herself from going forward and kissing his cheek.

Yes she was shy. She had never even held a guy's hand but today she actually kissed one.

What had actually gone through her mind?

Was she crazy.

Khushi(thinking): well that I am, but I was never this crazy.

Deepika: khushi when will you stop dreaming. Come back to reality.

Khushi looked startled. She was still blushing as the images kept coming back to her head.

Payal: khushi are you alright. It feels as though you are burning.

Khushi: no jiji, I am alright.

Deepika: anyway are you guys going to the ball tomorrow?

Payal: oh yes. Definitely.

Deepika: cough cough did someone already ask you already?

Payal blushed and replied that akash had already asked her.

Deepika: but what about your leg?

Payal: it is just a sprain deepika. I'll be alright. If not I'll go and atleast enjoy the food.

Deepika: what about you khushi? Did someone ask you?

Khushi: nope. Who in their right mind would ask me.

Deepika smiled as mischief hit her,

Deepika: cough arnav cough.

She tried to hide the arnav part with her cought but she had done it so that everyone could hear it.

As soon as khushi did, she blushed crimson red.

She excused herself to go and sleep because she wouldn't be able to take more of their teasing. And she had to forget about that evenings events, or would she? She had no idea.

arnav and akash had come inside. They had their food silently.

Akash: payal, where is khushi? Isnt she going to eat?

Payal: no. she said that she was feeling kind of sick. So she turned in early, without eating anything.

Arnav got up from his chair and went to his room, then the kitchen. Heat the leftover food and went to her room. Deepika, payal and akash had gone ut with arjun for a walk.

Arnav knicked and waited.

Khushi came and opened the door. And her eyes widened to the size of saucers as she saw arnav standing there.

Arnav went in and sat in the chair in the room. Khushi went in and sat beside him.

Khushi: what are you ding here arnavji?

Arnavji: well I heard you didn't eat your food so I brought it up.

Khushi: but I didn't feel like eating.

Arnav: shut up khushi and just eat.

Khushi: but---

She was silenced by arnav when arnav took a spoonful of rice and put it in her mouth as he was getting irritated with her incessant talk.

She swallowed her food,

Khushi: see here arnavji, you cant silence me like---

And she was cut off again as arnav placed another spoonful of food in her mouth and he smirked. Oh that smik did a lot. It actually silenced her completely.

Then arnav realizing that she would not speak gave the plate to her and saw her eat the food.

Then he gave her a medicine and finally left. What he didn't know was that khushi's heart was going haywire.

Dhak Dhak

Dhak Dhak

Dhak Dhak.

Khushi: hey devi maiyya what the hell is happening to me.

As she placed her hand over her heart in order to calm her heartbeats down but to no avail.

arnav felt content after a very long time. He didn't know why but feeding khushi food felt like the most satisfying thing that he had done in a very long time. He smiled.

But he had decided that he wouldn't go close to her. And the best way to show that was making abhay go closer to her.

He himself didn't know why he feared going to her, but he knew that whenever he sees her, he starts living in his visions again and again. His Hell becomes REAL.

And this just deteriorates his health and nothing else. He had to concenterate on other stuff in his life.

Khushi would just prove to be a distraction he felt, or worse.

everyone fot up next day. Arnav as usual had gotten up damn early and had gone for his jog and arjun was playing on the garden in the morning. This was the routine. Arnav would jog looking at arjun play.

Khushi had not been able to sleep last night properly.

Something had happened that had kept her awkae the entire night. Same was the problem with arnav.

After his jog he got ready for college. Now everyone were ready. Arnav got up to leave.

Arnav: akash you take these guys and go to college. I'll go drop arjun and meet you in class. And don't forget to take that presentation that you have to submit.

Akash: sure bhai.

Khushi: can I come. I would love to see arjuns school.

Before arnav could react, deepika replied,

Deepika:sure khushi why not. It'll be great and arjun will love to show his school to you.

Arnav(thinking): well maybe I can put my small plan into action too.

And arnav with khushi left for arjun's school to drop arjun.

After dropping him, there was an awkward silence as Arnav drove toward the college.

Then he broke the silence,

Arnav: hey are you planning on going to the ball?

Khushi(shyly): yes. I guess I will.

After that there was 10 mins of silence and he got a call.

Arnav: ya lavanya. Tell me.

Khushi's eyes widened. Why was lavanya calling him. She was just a first year.

Arnav: ya I don't have any plans. Fine I'll go to the ball with you.

And khushi's heart crashed.

Jhushi(thinking): why the hell are you feeling sad khushi? You shouldn't be bothered. No maybe this is due to that acidity feeling I had yesterday. Maybe it's the same.

Arnav: sure lavanya. I'll pick you up from your hostel.

And saying so he cut the call.

He looked at khushi wondering if she had heard him. And sure enough she was sad. Arnav felt like an idiot doing this o her.

Khushi then got a call from abhay.

Abhay: khushi can you be my dance partner at the ball tonight?

Khushi: ya sure why not.

Abhay: fine I'll pick you up at 8.

Khushi: alright.

Arnav's plan was bang on target though somehow he was feeling angry. The thought that someone else will dance with khushi left him fuming.

Arnav(thinking): well it is for the best.

They arrived at the college and khushi just ran to her hostel.

Arnav felt a pang of guilt take over his heart as he saw her run towards her room. He knew he had no right to cause her any type of pain as she was one of the most purest and innocent beings he had met,

Arnav: I wish I could khushi, but when you are close to me those images just become clearer and looking at your eyes and your face brings them to life. Everything which I don't know and just want to forget are thrown in my head by my conscience because of you. I know it isn't your fault, but I swear I wont let myself hurt you for it. I will make you detest me Khushi Kumari Gupta. I Will Have My Way.
