What u think, which bond is to be treated strongly, if a person is not in love but are bound by marriage is it necessary that they should be living in hell for another saath janam just because marraiges are made in heaven and its our custom...
dont you think more than a bond of marraige its the bond between two hearts which is more pure than the traditional bonding of marraige...

A heart bond is stronger then anything else! No rites or rituals or pieces of paper or anything else can over-ride that!

marriage is stronger.

the quickening of the pulse and excitement of love soon fades away then you start to notice lots of other things about the other person you don't like, and if it was only love binding you, the strength of the bond is weak and will break.

but marriage say arranged, you don't know each other, no love has happened, but the girl is told what is expected of her and the man is also and both fulfill the responsibilities, you become to rely on each other like our Gohem and can't stay without each other, a sort of love happens of necessity.

something changes in a person when they take vows, when you leave your parents house as a woman, all the marriage advice your parents give you, you are sombre as you contemplate what it all means, and you know it's not having a laugh it's the real thing, whatever home you build is to last, with love you live in the clouds almost dreaming of the impossible, and all you think about is romance, without getting into the necessities of life exactly. You can't live on love only.

In an ideal world it would be love, honour and cherish. Not all of us are privileged to have that.

But what if love does not happen for one or the other? Should they be denied the chance to love?

bhavya.. actually very difficult question... i have seen people when they are in love , they were so good, but once it break up, they behave like strangers.. but marriage, may they were not in love, but still they share each other.. the relationship builds slowly.. even though there were fights.. they will get over and stays till end with same love :)))

hmm may i will go with marriage & promise to live with each other till end.. or can say marriage after love will be the best bond :P

I actually think a little of both.. Love is definitely yes.. Without love, rituals and customs add up to nothing. But I think the very reason these rituals and customs were created was to celebrate that love and togetherness.. So both together is what I would pick. What comes first I guess depends on the individual.. 😊

I think arranged marriages are stronger then love marriages.
neither of them would contemplate loving someone else surely...would they?

Depends. Some parents think and choose wisely for their children regarding compatability and personality while others just chug along and make decisions based on family honour, name and age old customs. What happens if you are that incompatible that you do not know love with your partner? Circumstances push you together.
