The TRP's have dropped further this week and although the forum sensed signs of improvement in the last week, the trp audience certainly didn't. If they did the trps would have increased or at least remained at 3.3.
ASR's sasural trip has just begun and I think it's too early to comment on how it is. Last two days were good and today was okay. It was good in most parts. But the major question is where is this track leading? Will it help clear the MU, will it help Arnav realize Khushi's innocence? Will it help Arnav understand the middle class way of living and enforce his respect for his wife and his in-laws? Will it help Khushi realize what her dhak dhak really means and that her hubby is only a snob on the surface? Will it give Shyam enough oppurtinuty he is looking for to do some serious damage? Most importantly, will it help Arnav find out something about Shyam? We don't know yet.
Unlike many, I actually liked the episode. It was light hearted but I loved the efforts made by the Gupta ladies to entertain their so-in-law. It may have looked a little exaggerated to some but such things happen. Many families go out of their way to please their damads and here the Gupta's know that their damad lives in luxury and he is extremely hard to please. But underneath it all, there was love, affection, warmth and an honest effort to make him feel at home.
I am very happy to see the Gupta family after so many days. It's a refreshing change from mami-Payal drama. Abha Parmer is good actress and I always like her scenes when she is being nice to Khushi. Surprisingly even the actress playing Garima is doing well. I have never liked her acting before but she seems more spontaneous now.
I even liked Payal's scene with Bubbly. I still don't understand why she is here though. Is it me or does Bubbly really dislike Shyam for some reason?
I can't help but think if the broken mirror means something. ASR saw his reflection at the broken mirror and he was about to wash his hand with the soap and he saw it as dirty. Does it symbolize ASR who was completely shattered after seeing Khushi at the terrace with Shyam? He thought Khushi was innocent and pure and when he was just about to accept her in his life wholeheartedly,he saw her tainted.
After seeing the mirror and the soap, he immediately thought of bringing over his own toiletries when he could have asked Khushi or the Gupta's for a different soap. He found his own way of dealing with the matter'.'...the same way he took matters in to his own hands and took and instant decision of marrying without bothering to ask Khushi.
But something has to come out of his sasural trip. During his stay, ASR is bound to realize something. When he saw the broken mirror and the dirty soap he immediately thought of a way to fix his problems. He is broken inside and he sees Khushi as impure, will he be able to pull himself together, pick up the broken pieces and see Khushi for who she really is? It will be interesting to find out.
I also loved the way Khushi lead Arnav towards her home without spoiling the rangoli. Well that scene must have meant something deeper too but I am not great at deciphering deeper meanings but I'll update if I can think of something.
There are lots of serious issues in the show which needs to be treated with some sensitivity. Not everything can be dealt with a comedy and light hearted moments. There needs to some intensity and some seriousness. The cv's need to realize this and work on it fast. I think the cv's are going in the right direction. If only they can balance it out, hopefully the show will pick up it pace too.
Nothing works better to good promotion to boost the trps. What the show needs at the moment is a well thought out promo which grabs the audience's attention who has switched channels.

1) An important thing which the cv's skipped was Khushi 's interaction with Babuji. Although there was a little bit of interaction between Babuji and Arnav, but there was no hug or anything for Babuji from Khushi's side. We have always seen how close Khushi is to babuji and the first thing she does when she enters GH is look for Babuji and take his aashirwaad. What could have been a beautiful and meaningful scene was not shown and the cv's totally missed this opportunity.
2) ASR has always been very courteous with the GUpta's. Even after the marriage, he has always respected the Gupta's, said Namaste and took their aashirwaad. Nothing of that sort was shown. If the cvs are deliberately trying to pass off ASR as rude and snobbish towards the Gupta's for the sake of proving him wrong then it complete NO NO for me. This is completely against ASR's character sketch as he has never disrepcted the Gupta's.
But ASR's reaction after the Gupta's showered him with love and the food ofcourse wasn't illogical. ASR is very much reserved and he always prefers to be in his comfort zone. Now by comfort, I don't mean physical and material comforts.It's on an emotional level. he is not used to this kind of attention from his own family. Other than Anjali, no one showers him with love. He is always a little aloof. So it's natural for him to feel uncomfortable in this condition.
3) Khushi was toying with ASR's food again. This is something I can't take. Why would any one even think of starving a diabetic? THis could lead him into having another hypo. CVs need to keep this in mind as it looks very insensitive. All this is going to lead ASR to ordering food from outside but it's poor thinking on the CVs part. They can't show Khushi concerned and awake all night worrying about Arnav's health and she can't go back to messing with his food just two days later. Khushi involving Garima and Buaji into her 101 ways of teaching ASR a lesson, while the Gupta ladies were making genuine efforts to make him feel at home was again nit funny.
