She ran into her cabin and cried, tears fell from her eyes. She hadn't moved on, he still meant everything to her even after he hurt her so much. Love is forgiving though, shouldn't she forgive him? 'NO! Harshita what are you thinking? Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada is dead! Arnav Singh Raizada means nothing to you, he didn't trust you, he hurt you by treating you like dirt from beneath his shoes.' She sat in a corner, hugging her knees, and cried some more as she remembered the events of that night.
Arnav was on a business trip in Shimla, and on the much insistence of Anjali and Nani, he brought Khushi with him. Unfortunately, their car had broken down and now they were stuck in the middle of nowhere.
It was snowing and Khushi was freezing because all she was wearing was thin sari. Arnav was warm in his three piece suit, but he saw as his wife was freezing near him. He took off his coat and wrapped it around her.
She accepted it as she was very cold and knew if she didn't he probably wouldn't care.
There was a small log cabin and they walked in happy there was some shelter. There was a small table in the middle of the cabin, on one side was huge bed, there was a small blanket-filled wardrobe, a bathroom, and a small fireplace with a pile of flammable things.
Khushi saw the small fireplace and began looking for matches, when she found some; she threw some branches in the fireplace and threw a lit match to ignite the fire.
Arnav saw as she lit the fire. He stared at her beauty it glowed from the light of the fire, her skin as white as snow, lips red like blood, hair as dark as the night sky. He smiled at her, no matter what she did, she was an angel.
"I will go get the food Nani packed for us from the car." She said with a faint voice as she walked to the car and got a big black tote from it. She brought it inside and put it on a table. She opened it up and took out some containers and a few water bottles.
"Khushi?"
"Yes, Arnavji?"
"It's late you should go to sleep."
"Yes." She had been following his orders and everything he would say ever since they had returned from the Heer-Ranjha play and he had yelled at her.
"Where do you want me to sleep?"
"I don't know, sleep on the bed."
"But what about you?"
"There's nowhere else to sleep so I will obviously sleep on the bed too."
"But'"
"Can you think of anything else?"
"No."
Khushi fell asleep on the hard bed, Arnav however, couldn't sleep. He turned and turned trying to get comfortable, but all was futile as he couldn't be comfortable. He opened his eyes and saw Khushi in front of them. He watched her sleeping and dozed off silently.
The next morning he woke up to find her tangled with him. He tried to untangle her but he was mesmerized by her. When she woke up she also saw him tangled to her and she slowly untangled herself. She was embarrassed at her lack of self control.
"I need to take a shower. I doubt there will be any running water so I will get some water from the stream and warm it up."
"Okay, there are a few pails in the small bathroom."
"Thank you." Khushi got up and went into the bathroom to grab the pails. She took two as she knew that's all she would be able to carry back.
Arnav watched silently as she took the pail and left the small cabin wearing her dress and his coat.
It had been 15 minutes and Khushi hadn't returned. Arnav had begun to worry, the stream wasn't that far away.
He decided to look for her. He began to walk to the stream, the snow crushing under his feet. When he reached the stream it was frozen and Khushi was nowhere to be found.
"Khushi! KHUSHI! WHERE ARE YOU? Khushi?"
No reply
"Khushi?" he searched for her everywhere. There weren't many places she could be, the place was nearly deserted. "Khushi?" he tried again with no response again. That's when he saw a small figure near the stream. It was Khushi, she was completely drenched, and she was shivering. "Aaarnnnaaavvjiii." was all she could manage to say.
He picked her up and took her into the cabin. He found some blankets in the wardrobe and covered her. He closed his eyes as he undressed her, and he opened his eyes after dressing her in another sari and covering her in the blankets.
Her body was cold, like freshly frozen ice. "Aaarrrnnnavvvjji." She uttered again. "Khushi it's okay I'm here. Calm Down."
"Iii'mmm veveeerry cccooolddd." She was shivering so bad. He tried to call a doctor but there was no cell reception, and there were no other houses or cabins for miles. He had no other option to save her then give her body heat. He lied down next to her, and tried warming her up at the same time he was consoling her that everything would be okay.
A sudden knocking on the door took her out of the flaskback, "Harshita? Harshita? Are you in there? Open the door! Harshita?"
"Who's there?"
"It's me, Sarita!"
"Oh, One minute."
She got up and opened the door. As Sarita came in she saw Harshita's no, Khushi's tears.
"It's okay, It's okay Harshita calm down."
She shut the door and walked in, "Khushi listen to me. Please don't cry, I know you still love him but please don't shed tears, he isn't worth them."
"Yes he is! He's worth my forgiveness, he's worth me, he's worth to know Arshi, and he's worth to have Arshi call him papa! He's worth everything Sarita he's worth everything. She hugged her friend and cried on her shoulder.
"Khushi, I know you love him, but you were the one to leave him!"
"Because I thought he hated me! Today, I know he loves me! I know my value in his life!"
"He only knows what you are worth because you left! You don't know the worth of water till the well is dry! Now the well is dry, and he needs the water, you are the water he needs! You Khushi!"
"What if the water needs him?"
"You don't need him! Don't you remember how he tore you apart? How he took away your everything? How he conditioned you to marry him? How he gave you no explanation till date? How you loved him unconditionally to only receive hatred in return? Look, Khushi I'm your friend not your enemy! You mean so much to me, I want to spare you the heartbreak!"
"I know Sarita, but I can't live without him!"
"You lived 10 years without him!"
"In his memories!"
"Live 10 more!"
"What about Arshi?"
"You need to move on!"
"I can't!"
"Fine, Do what you think is right!"
Okay so I know there was no Arnav but bear with me here! Anyway tell me how it is! Visit my website for promos/teasers! www.ipkkndarhi.webs.com
