Dear Purethought,

I agree completely with everything you have said. Also, it was clever of you to have predicted so closely the way things would turn out yesterday.

Purvi is not just hard-hearted (i do not know how anyone could not be moved by the expression on Arjun's face when he stands at her doorstep), but she is inconsistent and self-centred.Plus she seems to have NO judgement of people at all, if she can forget all that Arjun did to look after her, boost her morale and be protective of her all these days, never making the slightest move that could be interpreted as improper, and she can now level such ugly and crude accusations at him. It was very cheap and makes one think poorly of her upbringing and the famous sanskar about which her family never tires of boasting.

I cannot understand all this attributing her awful behaviour to her 'middle class" values. NO sensible girl, middle class or not, would support her boss by putting her arm round him and his round her shoulders, and escort him to his flat late at night just because he had a twisted ankle. Or smile continuously at him while dancing in a gypsy costume, and then insist on being photographed standing close to him. Any man with less of a sense of honour than Arjun would have interpreted such behaviour only one way!

And now, after having no problems with hugging him and crying all over him, she suddenly starts behaving like the Hindi film heroines of the 1960s and 70s, with their pet phrases like "luchche lafange" and the like. All this time she had no qualms about any degree of closeness with him, and now suddenly she talks as though he was a serial molester. And that too without giving him the least opportunity explain himself.

What then is the difference between her and Vinay? Vinay thought ugly things about her and Arjun without any reason, and now she thinks and says ugly things about and to Arjun without any sense of proportion: she resented the first acutely, but she does not think anything of behaving in exactly the same way herself.

You are quite right, she does not deserve Arjun at all, but then the story being what it is, she will get him in the end, deserving or not. In any such relationship, there is one who loves and one who is loved, and it is quite clear here that Purvi will decidedly be the latter!

As for poor Arjun, what he desperately needs is a break from this girl. But I do not think he will feel the same way,and if he still insists on making a cake of himself and apologising endlessly for something he never intended, and still hankers after a patch-up, it would be best if he approached Archana. Manav is ruled out for obvious reasons, and DK must have gone back to Canada and in any case he would have no influence with Purvi.

And no, I do not see how the Teju accident is going to help resolve the Arjun-Purvi issue.

As per what I have seen today. My prediction for Purvi was right, she won't melt.

Thumbs down to Purvi, all the way

- For illtreating Arjun

- For thinking bad things about him

- For asking him to leave her house

- For resigning

-For telling him she feels unsafe with him

- For being extremely rude to him😡😡

I love you Purvi, but I had more expectations from you. I thought your behaviour was despicable today. Do you really deserve Arjun's love? after all this? Do you wanna go back to Vinay and marry him, you feel safe with him?? 😡

100 cheers to Arjun😳😊

For calling up Ovi and telling her he loves someone else. Although she did not hear him

-For trying to patch up with Purvi

-For not loosing his cool when Purvi went ad nauseum accusing him.

Please bring ARVI together. Don't separate them under such pathetic circumstances. 😡

@aviaanya...I do kind of have to agree. Touching, hugging, etc are on thing. But a kiss of any kind in the professional environment (especially by the boss) does take things to another level.

Another thing...everyone remember what the facts are: 1) she does not know his feelings for her and 2) think of it from her standpoint while keeping her upbringing in mind: here is her boss who comes from Canada, is so rude and insulting to her, belittles her, says pretty mean things nd behaves atrociously, then does an about flip, starts being really nice, stares at her all the time, evokes feelings in her she doesn't understand and on top of it is taught are bad to have since she got a grandma at home harping every chance she gets about how girls should think and behave. Thn he goes and kisses her which takes things beyond where they have ever gone before.
She's got an ex fiance who keeps taunting her and hey let's be honest here: because he hit that nail right on the head and it was very close to home. Because the truth is he is right: there is something with Arjun, she does love him, but she has been taught all her life that GOOD girls don't have these kind of feelings for boys by good old Aji: so she is shocked, horrified, confused and mad- AT HERSELF- because she doesn't know it is ok to love him. She thinks it's wrong. So she does what anyone would do in that situation which is lash out and displace blame onto the poor guy and keep him at arms length because she does love him deep inside and is scared to death of it.

I like the 2nd part of your post, i think Purvi is confused about her own feelings and the things she has been taught,..but the part @red is a bit confusing to me !!

To me, it is just the opposite. Hugging like Purvi was doing with Arjun, willingly being held so close to him, with her head on his shoulder, wrapped in his arms, is 1000% more intimate than a tender kiss on the forehead. You, know, the forehead is the place everyone kisses children when they want to comfort them. My boss could easily kiss me on the forehead and i wouldn't think anything of it. I live in a (non-western) culture where everyone kisses and hugs all the time...so for my own culture this incident is totally silly, but how can a gentle forehead kiss of comfort be more intimate than clinging physically and wrapping arms around each other? Plus as so many have written, Purvi did very comfortably do many many things that would have been inviting or welcoming intimacy in any society. I think the CV's have once again sent a mixed message. But then, what's new?

Anyway, i did like your analysis of Purvi's feelings however, i think her expression of them was very self centered and uncaring.

well purvi was way out of her line when she accused Arjun about his real intentions towards Purvi.. i mean really purvi who do you think you are.. you should be glad that Arjun didnt tell that to you and jo hawa mein udd rahi hai about Arjun running after you will fall flat on face.. She didnt even let him talk and you know what i dont even want him to beg her anyomre.. Let it be and keep himself busy with work and go back to being the Khadoos Arjun and rehire Vinay.. why is she making a big deal of that "peck" on her forehead.. i dont understand her sanskar when she is okay about hugging arjun and giving him signals and dancing in front of him but flips out when he does something out of concern... He should stop calling her and trying to talk and being all despo.. you can do better Arjun
she pissed me off so much that i am hating on her big time

Purvi was EXTREMELY rude yesterday to Arjun, she never let Arjun even say one word to defend himself or say his side of the story. Ovi would've definitely listened to him. Sulochana too was so rude to Manav though Manav has done so much for Sulo. I was shocked when I heard Sulo say to Purvi that Manav is a good person but not a good husband. This is the same Manav who bought Sulo to live with him and who gave her house back to her, he's also done so much for Archana. Sulo was even instigating Purvi against Manav, she kept telling her Archana fought with her for Manav when it was Manav who always fought with Savita for Archana. She never even thought about the situation from MAnav's POV.

The way Arjun is treating OVi is not very nice, he should not be so cold to her. He shouldn't have told her he was in love with someone else as it may hurt Ovi. Arjun should never marry Purvi, he will be the next Manav or Satish

Telling Ovi about his love for Purvi is the right thing...Ovi is his best friend, then it is better if he says straight on her face than keeping her in dark.. Now Arjun thinks that he has already told her whereas she actually didnot hear him. He has to tell her again.
