Rishi once said - "ek sey bardh kar ek hain yaha sab" It is so very true.
Each character is a certified namoona. đThere is no such thing as a "normal" character. Each character, excluding Indira (and maybe Rishi), is a villain, but oh what villians! One can't help but fall for their dialogues, their antics, and their chemistry with costars! HD characters are of similar mold as iconic characters of that great sitcom "Seinfeld"đ
One cannot even describe them in a normal narrative wayđ
We have Radhe, known for his "genius giri"
If a strong aandhi came, it will blow him away, often looks like a drowned rat, his charm is a shady heart, his tongue speaks in loud and fast verse, has intimate knowledge of goings on in SN, is afraid of Indira yet goes against her interests sometimes for money, gets beaten up by her routinely, does not hold grudges, can be anything that that a situation demands - a real estate agent, a would-be lawyer etc, ultimately always loves Indira and comes to her aid in his inimitable, street-smart manner. As Rishi said : "Tum handpump ke tarha ho, jitne upar, use se bhi ziyada neehey"đ
We have Sunaina Bhabhi, Munnabhai's "Mrs" - An earthy woman, with good appetite for living!
Has only two brain cells that don't get used much. Loves food, hearty appetite and no hesitations about hiding it or curbing it in front of people. Why should father-in-law's ongoing surgery prevent her from enjoying hospital canteen samosas! Samosas and alloo chat are meant to be eaten! Loves he good-for-nothing husband to death and no hesitations about showing her love physically. Though it does not prevent her from enjoying the sight of a well built, handsome man! đ
Loves fun and frolic. Believes in saving her meagre two brain cells for some future event when she will dust them off!
Afraid of Indira! In charge of housekeeping, does reasonable job of managing it within Indira's doled rations! Though not afraid of asking Rishi to pay for her food expenses.
Her lack of brain cells is compensated by her physical strength. Not afraid to take goons head on and beat their pants off! Will use any trick in the book during a fight, whether it is the ear splitting sound of her scream, or disarming her opponent with her pregnancy!
Loves her son, but leaves Indira to raise him because her two brain cells cannot be bothered.
we have Munnabhai - a gambler with a loosing streak, plenty of activity in brain, but in no concrete direction, has a motormouth which can give Radhe a run for money in terms of who spits out the most enjoyable dialogues.
Addicted to gambling, never made past his neighborhood gambling den, has illusions of grandeur, has plenty braincells which are continuously inventing schemes to make money, but never but make sustainable effort to work in one direction.
Like Radhe, has a gift for words and never fails to use it.
Has no concept of how people judge him, pretty shameless
Loves earthly pleasures - like drink and his wife. Is faithful to her inspite of receiving advances of other women. Is not afraid of flirting to get is way
Has a love hate relationship with Indira. She supports him and his family. He feels that he has let everyone down because of it. His solution to this guilt is not finding a job, but finding a drink.
