Better late than never! I have been off the forum for a few days and return with this long post on last week. Hope you all have the patience to read through to the end😆
What a week this has been in Parichayland😉 The case which took up one fourth of the time Parichay has been on air finally ended the way we expected – Kunal is acquitted of all charges, Siddhi helps him achieve it and Kunal and Siddhi are closer than ever before. 👏But was the ride worth this destination?😡 Let's look at the last week and decide!
The Good – in chronological order
1. 1. Kunal and Siddhi in the hospital: Beautiful scene, simple and sweet, highlighting the transformation that their relationship has been through and the comfort that they have attained with each other. ☺️I loved the fact that they were talking openly about things – Siddhi confronted Kunal that there was no CD so how would he win, Kunal admitting that he wanted to spend time with her, Siddhi chiding him for giving up so easily and finally Kunal asking for an argument because his day will be incomplete. Completely natural. But (and there is one) … I was confused by Kunal's characterization in this scene. 😕He seemed to have given up, which I personally hated, since I thought this giving up days were behind him. More on that later. Also liked the fact that they showed Siddhi egging Kunal on.👍🏼 I know they were trying to promote nari shakti and dharma patni and all that, but let's forget all the EK clichs. Isn't that what a marriage is all about? When one partner is down the other up props him/her up. I liked that they showed that simply.😊
2. 2. All of Kunal's dialogues to the Thakraal family in the farm house. Hilarious. Especially what he says to Thakraal about being a nalayak baap.😆
3. 3. Thakraal in court. No don't beat me, but scripting and performance wise a great scene. 👏Crisp dialogues, exactly the kind of dialogues I would like to see Kunal speaking in court some day, his arguments, his twists of logic – beautiful and befitting a top lawyer. The way he cornered that hapless novice lawyer and Siddhi both – brilliant. What a scene by Abhay Bhargava!👏
4. 4. Rohit in court - for obvious reasons. He spilled the beans and how! Phew, finally the case ended. Richa went ballistic and Kunal got his life back. Thank God!👏
5. 5. Raveen Vikram scenes. How much do I love Vikram? Second only to Kunal thank you very much. ☺️He is a darling. Nowadays I go aww every time he speaks. Such a sweet character and love the acting to bits. He is a natural in this role.👏
6. 6. Kunal Siddhi interactions in court and outside. I know, I know he was mad at her. 😡But still it showed the exact state he was in. He was angry at her for coming to court against his wishes but still cares about her so much. He doesn't know whether to love her or hate her – poor chap. He has been through an emotional upheaval since Siddhi was kidnapped. It's a lot for a man to handle. He isn't sure of his feelings yet. Very well portrayed by Sameer.👏
7. 7. Chopra family scenes. I've always loved Raj and Seema's characters but Gaurav is growing on me as well. He is a very real character – the kind who says the truth the way it is, always practical, but also very loving and caring. We always have these people in our family – the ones who say the wrong thing at the wrong time, but those who are good to have around because they always think one step ahead.👍🏼 I think every week I thank God we don't have kitchen politics on this show!👏
8. 8. Kunal and Siddhi scene in the bedroom. Perhaps my favorite this week. 😊Simply because I got to see the Siddhi she was before when she was not afraid to confront Kunal directly, unlike the one who clammed up in front of him. 👏I was recently watching Kunal Siddhi's pre-wedding confrontations and wondering where did this Siddhi go. Loved seeing her that way again. Of course she was misunderstanding his concern for ego, but I loved that she didn't give up. And Kunal? His love won't let him be angry with her anymore, but his concern for her can't let him ignore what she did. Plus he is upset about the fact that after all that happened she let Rohit go scot free. Of course he is also being unfair to her that she went ahead and did what she wanted – where was the time to discuss when the court was in session? All these conflicting feelings were well shown by Kunal, he was caring yet aloof and so confused👍🏼. Plus I loved the fact that Anand was brought in at the end.👍🏼 Now before we start hyperventilating let me explain. It seemed odd at first that when Siddhi holds his hand, he looked at Anand's photo and then takes his hand away. It was a mix of anger, sadness at being misunderstood as egotistic when he is concerned and guilt. The sadness at being misunderstood was dealt with in the park scene that followed. But the guilt still needs to be addressed and I am glad the CVs brought it up.👏 Because there are two parts to this. Kunal thinking Siddhi still loves Anand – which he knows now is not the case. And second Kunal feeling guilty about loving the woman his brother loved. He feels like he is cheating his little brother. This still needs to be addressed and can be dealt only by Kunal himself, may be with some help from his father. But until this point is addressed this relationship cannot move forward so I am very glad the CVs are tackling this bull by the horns and only hope that they show it with maturity and dignity.😡
9. 9. Main aap logon ke saath nahin jaunga? Poor Kunal.😭 He felt so left out.😆 The background music was trying too hard to make the scene funny, but I felt like Kunal's expressions itself were enough. He was so trapped.😭 He has not yet sorted out all his feelings and now he is being forced into accepting something that he doesn't want to. But what can he do? His nature won't allow him to say otherwise.
The okay
1.1. 1. Kunal's character graph this week.👎🏼 This whole week Kunal lacked the punch.🤢 He seemed deflated. On Monday when he talked of giving up and going to jail, I was very uncomfortable by this side of Kunal. He gave up before when Richa betrayed him. But now he has Siddhi with him. Why would be give up again?🤔 Secondly just to create drama they showed Kunal as very angry at Siddhi on Tuesday/Wednesday when he enters the court but his words didn't back up the anger. The writing was very weak in this regard. Sameer showed on his face the disappointment, the concern and the anger, but his dialogues should have been stronger, more direct. All the scenes that followed his words were thanda, very deflated, very unlike Kunal. He need not have shouted in anger, but he could have been more forceful. I blame this on weak writing.😡
22. 2. Siddhi's deal with Rohit.🤔 I don't think they could have done this any other way. They showed it as logical as possible. At least it was one of the leads who did something rather than Rohit having a change of heart.
The Ugly
1. 1. Rohit running away. What should I say?😡 I know they did this for drama's sake but why why why such poor logic and execution? They showed the constables as useless, the inspector as stupid and Kunal like a weakling. Ugh.🤢
2. 2. Siddhi in court. What were you thinking? I know you are desperate woman. I understand wanting to do something to save your husband. But what good is begging going to do for you?😡 If you want more time demand it based on evidence – FIR, medical reports whatever. Don't beg for forgiveness. And what about Keerti's OTT performance?😲 I have been very impressed with this young woman lately but all those court scenes she acted ridiculous.😡 And for what CVs? More drama?😡
3. 3. Rohit's flashbacks. What does this mean for Vikram and Raveena's story? I hope that we don't see more unnecessary twists on their story just for drama's sake.😡
Now a word to the CVs because I know they are watching and reading.😈 We have excused a lot of unnecessary big twists in this court case all because they have ended up bring Kunal and Siddhi closer and we know that was the goal of this case. But why did they have to be such big twists that they ended up becoming stupid and boring and caused so many brainless situations. 😡Why did they have to end up making Kunal and Siddhi look like clueless infants sometimes? Why not resort to smaller, more believable twists? Why think so big?😕 For TRPs I suppose. But no more. I hope in the next track – the separation – you create situations that are funny and romantic to draw your audience in.😊 Because it has a lot of potential to be sweet and endearing.😳 We promise to keep watching if you show us simple Kunal Siddhi scenes.😍 No more tears and very little drama.😡
Finally, I hope the CVs deal with Anand in a manner that is befitting.😊 Every show has this compromise marriage followed by the couple falling in love. You have an opportunity here to answer the question – how is this even possible and does this make sense?🤔 You have an opportunity to answer the question you keep randomly throwing at us through that book in Kunal's room – Can love happen twice?🤔 What does it say about Anand and Siddhi's love and Kunal and Richa's relationship if Kunal and Siddhi are so passionately in love now?😕 Were Richa and Anand mere conduits to bring these lovers together? Is Kunal justified in feeling like he is cheating his little brother? Think CVs, think. Be creative.😡 And if you want to copy please don't copy from your old shows.😡 Be inspired from somewhere else.😆
