Mona Singh's film debut
After her transformation in Jassi Jassi Koi Nahin, Mona Singh clambered up the rooftop of Gulmohar House and made statements about making a debut in Bollywood. To be produced by Bobby Pushkarna (of Page 3 fame), the film called Main To Chala was supposed to star a top Bollywood actor (Mona even did a bit of name-dropping like Abhishek, Akshay). This was in early 2005. More than a year later, even after Jassi's closure, the film is yet to take off. Described as an urban-centric film, it was supposed to be a black comedy set in Mumbai. Last heard, the script was being worked upon in London. M J Ramanna — Milos Forman's first assistant director in the Jim Carrey film Man On The Moon — was supposed to direct the project. Considering that Mona is currently on break, she should utilise this time to meet producers and convince them to cast her in their films and make sure that the project takes off.
