Geet entered KC apprehensively. For the first time she was coming here and the aura that greeted her eyes left her spellbound completely. Whole interior decoration was done in soft shades of grey and maroons'-red, just the way she loved. She was in awe of the office and was looking around as if a kid lost in a fun fair….

"J…Jee... Aap…."

She came out of reverie when a cute looking specky guy interrupted her. She was quite taken aback as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere. She felt that she had seen him somewhere; that is when she remembered that this was Mr. Aditya Sharma, the guy who took her interview….

"Good Evening Sir…. Woh mujhe yaha parr aaj bulaya gaya tha…."

"J…. Jee…. Ekk minute…. A..aap Geet hai na? Nayi intern…. Aap mere saath aa….aaiyein…."

He escorted her till the reception and introduced her to Pinky, the receptionist. Pinky was as usual stuffing chips but when she heard that Geet was scheduled to meet none other than the MSK, she called him without any delay. She didn't want to face the wrath of MSK...

Maan was working on the Chopra Mall designs when he received a call from the reception...

"Hmm yes…."

"Sir, Miss Geet has come…."

"OK…. Send her in…."

MAAN's Cabin

Maan heard a soft knock on the door announcing the arrival of his new intern….

"Come in..."

"Good Evening, Sir…."

Maan who was till now engrossed in the blueprint looked up when he heard a sweet melodious voice. He was completely stunned when he saw a very beautiful and sweet looking girl. It's not that he had not seen beautiful girls before but there was something in this girl that he had developed an unknown connection with her instantly. The thing that captivated him the most was her Dark brown hazels, he kept on gawking at her like a fool….

Geet felt quite intimated and uncomfortable under his gaze. She felt as if he was seeing through her...

"Sir…. SIRRR…."

Maan's trance got broken when she literally shouted. He mentally slapped himself for making a fool of himself.

"Yaa…. Ummm….. Have a seat..."

"Thank You sir…."

"Hmm so Miss. Geet, Aapko yeh toh pata hi hoga ki aapko iss job mein kya-kya karna hoga..."

"Jee sir…."

"Good…. So tell me ki aapki iss job se kya expectations hain???"

"Jee???"

Geet was puzzled. She expected him to ask that why was she capable for the job or something like that but this question was totally unpredictable. Abb who will know better than her that this is the MSK…. Koi bharosa nahi hai..

"Miss. Geet…. Maine aapse kuchh puchha hai…."

"Sir, I will be honest…. Mujhe iss job ki zaroorat financial security ke liye chaiyeh…."

"OK…. So you need to do it for pocket money types..."

"WHATTT…."

"Aur nahi toh kya... Abb you told Sasha and Adi ki you need it to pay your college fee but you are a scholarship student na???"

Geet glared at him. But she composed herself and answered as politely as she could manage….

"Yes SIR…. But meri scholarship sirf 50% hai you must be knowing that…."

"Ohh…. OK….. You must try to study harder then…."😆

Geet was practically fuming; she suppressed the urge to throw something on him. While Maan didn't know why but he was enjoying this conversation. He loved riling her up; he could make out how badly she wanted to snap at him right now…..

"Let's leave this, Mujhe yeh batao ki how much salary you expect???"

"Umm Sasha mam told me it would be somewhere around 10,000 per month..."

"She told you wrong…."

"JEEE…."

"Yes you wont be getting any salary…."

"WHATTT….."

"Yes…. This is your punishment for not informing me ki you gave an interview and even got selected…."

"W.. woh…."

"Geet main jaanta hoon ki you don't want any financial help from me and I respect your decision, but atleast tum mujhe yeh toh bata hi sakti thi na….Specially jab tum meri hi company mein kaam karne waali thi…."

Geet hung her head low. She knew she should have told him but she wanted to give him a surprise.

Maan got up from his chair and came and knelt beside her. He took her chin between his fingers and made her look up. He gently brushed away the lone tear that escaped her eye and slowly hugged her….

"Tumne yeh baat dadima ko bataayi???"

She shook her head and Maan sighed. He gently broke the hug and looked into her eyes.

"Hmmm vaise aapko yeh baat kaise pata chali ki main aapki nayi intern hoon???"

"Abb Geet main iss company ka MD hoon toh mujhe nahi toh kya iss company ke peon ko pata hoga???" He asked sarcastically..

Geet pouted cutely.

"Nahi mera matlab tha how did you guess it's me, maine abhi tak mere certificates submit hi nahi kiye thhey na…."

"Jabb Adi said ki the girl writes her name as only Geet.. Main tabhi samajh gaya tha ki yeh meri Geet hai…."

Tears welled up her eyes and Maan closed his eyes instantly regretting what he said. He knew it was a raw wound and he should have not reminded her about it. He tried to divert the topic immediately..

"Waise aapne mujhe yeh kyun nahi bataya….." He asked despite knowing the answer very well….

"Woh main aapko surprise dena chahti thi….."

"Main genuinely surprised hoon…. But phir bhi let me tell you ki as your friend am very happy parr tumhara BOYFRIEND tumse bahut naaraz hai…."

Geet blushed profusely. She still remembered the day they actually met for the first time…. How he was her complete mirror image….. Maano jaise uska Aaiynaa ho…..
