There's a saying the south ..."Mothers raise their daughters and LOVE their sons".
While I was watching yesterdays episode this quote kept floating through my mind.
I loved watching Krishna's realization of the true nature of her relationship with Pintu, but in so many ways i was still left feeling frustrated.
It seems to me the best behaved male in AB is Sonu, and the rest seem to have been raised by wolves.
Seeing as how Sonu hasn't been around a lot lately I guess I'm left to deal with the rest.
So here goes in the order of least to most irritating.
MADAN - a true friend, he doesn't agree with everything, listens, empathizes, and offers support no matter what... in short an all around nice guy.
VP- he's been a good dad to his four daughters. He's open and supportive and seems to push them to be the best they can...but was he sleeping when Ravi came along?
TTS- he just is who he is... more of a bully than not, but that's only because he doesn't look down to see who he's stepped on or gotten a hand up from ( Ganga actually reminded him of how VP helped him gain what he has). I've met people like him and quite frankly it's easier to keep moving forward than it is to stop and try to help them see how their behavior contributes to the unfortunate circumstances they find themselves in. ( Besides once Pintu and Krishna do whatever they're going to do it'll take her years to straighten him out).
RAVI- Really!!! This guy acts like third generation money.
"First generation struggles to make money.
Second generation remembers the struggle and works to secure the future.
Third generation knows nothing of the struggle."
J. Paul Getty
It's almost like he saw this guy coming.
It's hard to take him seriously. There was a reference to him having gone to school ( upper levels) but apparently he learned nothing.
DIHATI- he rates a mention only because he really makes me hate "The 3 Stooges". He reminds me of Moe...stupid and mean which when mixed with as toady attitude is really dangerous.
And finally the star of the hour...
PINTU- I know, I know...he's being noble and honorable by letting Krisha go but come on...
He's pushed, pulled, and slapped her, threatened and bullied for her...exposed her and himself and their families to gossip and ridicule. Consoled and been consoled by her and built a foundation of respect and friendship that could withstand a force 10 hurricane, but he won't let her speak.
See the thing about love...it's not cowardly and having Madan call him away so he didn't have to talk to Krishna...well that was just cowardly. What a mess.
I get that Pintu wants the best for Krishna and he certainly has a crush on her but if he really loved her wouldn't he trust her enough to ask what she wants and to not only hear but to listen to her answer?
I kind of think when these two get it right it will be ...right, but I just don't think it's there yet.
Hopefully Krishna will get a chance to let Pintu know how she feels so he can become the man he's supposed to be, not just for her but for himself.
