depends on the type of relationship.

Frankly, its impossible to be besties with the world or all your friends.

But there will always be some people who will there be with you through thick and thin. and its important that you be there with them as well.

there will be mean co workers, there will be the helpful good person as well.

same for personal relationships.

Life is so fickle, it can make you question yourself a zillion times more than it could ever make you question another soul. Eventually, you come to realize that it is about how you accept yourself, and how that makes a butt-load of difference in the way you perceive others. When you deal with your shit, you come around to find the right kind of people, and self-acceptance gives you a clearer head and tells you what you are looking for, and aren't we all looking for warmth and together deep down?

There is no such thing as black and white with people, you know? If a person backbites all they meet at work and claim to be friends with, it might be a very annoyingly stupid thing to do, but that's not all that is there to their character, there's much more. So, relationships do mean to everyone, but the way people value them is subjective, and how long they take to realize that is another issue altogether.

Yes we do get too caught up in competition and it is partly the fault of the Educational System that do not teach us proper values. Or perhaps greed and desires blind us all. Because you are talented I guess it does threaten some of your other colleagues too.
But in rekationships normally Birds of a feather flock together; we cannot be close to everyone and good friends are only a handful.
I Always take the initiative of keeping in touch with my old buddies and ex colleagues. I have found some real gems in the sea.
But what I consider a gem is looked upon as ordinary pebbles by
by others who do not know.

One off incidents could just reflect our nature of back biting, gossiping etc so I won't give that too much importance. Once we realize that we then need to separate professional from personal relationships.

Professional: Basically anything goes and yes one day they could be talking friends and family to you and next day you are fired. The reason is simple. It is driven by professional interests and not any personal interests.

Personal: Personal relationships can be family, friends and romance. Here my philosophy is that a long term relationship or a successful one is which is based on sincerity.

a) Now in case of family it is there. A mother or a father is almost always going to be sincere and accept their child.

b) Among friends and romance this becomes important. You don't know what they want. There are different thresholds of their sincerity. However this does not mean it won't work or last. It just means that it will not be a quality relationship.

Now what is going on these days? I don't have enough data to conclude on even if the data was there the quality of data would not be good lol. i.e. I can't read people's heart. Anyway there is a song which sums this up.

here it basically means that i have gone everywhere and wherever i went i observed same phenomenon. some wanted my time, others admired my husn/beauty/looks, some wanted commitment from me but there was no one who accepted my ills. and then song gets a bit emotional after that lol. point is this is very true maybe. no one likes another person that much that they will tolerate (in case of friends) or accept (in case of romance) their ills. Therefore just accept what you get and move on lol.

i too like this topic...bcoz it is really happening in these days...

i always do think that whether the people have really changed or is there something wrong within me...😃on seeing these posts i am now sure that there is nothing wrong in me...

in my point of view...everyone(mostly not all) is just concentrating only in his or her improvement,so they naturally first dont CARE for others,this where everything starts,CARE is the heart of all relations..but they cant do everything alone so they just create a fake relaionship to get some help from others and to pass the leisure time and to get rid of problems...

Although money is the soul reason for such a dynamic change in the man's behaviour...,we cant blame a printed paper for this..its the man and his mind which just got addicted to this...

this topic is such a great debate topic which we can just talk and we cant eradictate.we have no other go than to tolerate in order to survive...

Besides these there are also many people who do sincerely care for their friends and i salute to them and bcoz of them is why the earth still revolves...
