I just avi-id those two moments and now I'm finding them UBER CUTE...delayed reaction😆😆
As for Mohan being tongue-tied...I was just watching that whole scene with the Mummy again...I think he became more silent and withdrawn cuz the Mummy pointed out that this was the first time she's seen him smiling like this with another woman since Rashmi...that thought probably disturbed him...Otherwise toh he was brushing aside the Mummy's comments and trying to make it sound like he just knew Megha on a casual basis😆
Ohh awesome avis Anu! SO perfectly captured. I liked these bits too.
Overall not a bad episode...especially since I read your post before I watched the episode...so I was quite prepared for everything. *ishmart muh*
So anyways, from your avis...I liked this pleasant surprise on Mohan's face. And as you described it that hint of mischievousness even as he is nodding along to Megha's words. 😆 I just liked the way Mohan was pleasantly surprised to see Megha in on the joke. 😆 The whole idea of this scene was indeed very sweet in theory...yeah the bit when Mummy pops up got dragged so Kunal and Aakansha as a result also started looking a little rehearsed with their acting there. But before that...the scene was good I felt. Just this idea of these two sharing a joke like this was what I found super sweet. 😆 And yeah I didn't really find Aakansha's laugh/smile fake in this particular scene either actually. Maybe it was the fact that I was prepared for the worst in this scene..who knows.
Anyways, other sweet little bits in that scene was after that drag/mummy bit...the way Megha continues to laugh in between her "matlabs"...lol I found that bit very naturally portrayed by Aakansha actually. Yes in that ice cream bit I would agree her laugh did seem a little practiced...but here I thought she was quite natural. And the way she goes, "Tum sach mein bade katharnak ho"...lol I like how these little bits are casually thrown in by the writers. I like this casual, no big deal attitude of this show. These little natural bits made the scene convincing for me. I would just edit out that drag portion in between otherwise it was fine.
I also liked how Mohan was kind of rambling on to Megha. lol And the way he goes, "Apki bhabhi mujhe bahut pareshan karti hain"...Aww he's SUCH a bacha in front of Megha sometimes! I just really wanted to pull his cheeks! 😆 And the way Megha also shared that understanding of Renu's antics with Mohan...lol...as well as sharing of that Renu joke of course. While later she remembers that she is afterall her bhabhi.
It's that protective side of Megha's we are getting to see now, as Anu mentioned. The way Mohan was rambling/almost complaining about Renu to Megha in this scene. And even the way Megha tells Guru that Mohan is a nice guy. So all these traits that she's been noticing about him all throughout the show...all the pieces of the puzzle are finally forming together for her as she realizes that he is indeed a nice guy even if he is "ajeeb". 😆 And then hearing this Rashmi background makes her see this vulnerable side of Mohan's which makes her even more protective about him. So it kind of makes sense that she will pull a "Mrs. Bhatnagar" on him today. In a way both Mohan and Megha now are pretty protective of each other that way. It's very endearing and sweet to see this side of their's even before they are technically in love or whatever. I love this subconscious and subtle evolution in their relationship. I hope this continues.
And the fact that MM can share a joke/secrets like this makes me believe that they can indeed share that Rashmi/Mrs. Bhatnagar secret as well. :D
And what I found sweet too was Mohan's lighthearted feelings after that scene. He was so lightfooted and pleasant after that scene. Like JZ said...it's these bits with Megha he kind of keeps personal to himself. And it's so subconscious how this new friendship with Megha is actually making Mohan so much happier in his everyday mood. Aww. 😆
And that mummy was just talking crap today. I found her a little hypocritical almost. Make up your mind woman! Mohan was convincing for me in this scene though. I liked his slight irritation during the beginning of that scene as mummy gives him a taana about spending time with Megha. It was almost like that moment he just shared with Megha wasn't so private anymore. I don't think Mohan would want to share these subconscious feelings with anyone. Again, seconding JZ's point here. In fact, I don't think Mohan would want to admit these feelings in a conscious state to himself either. These feelings are far more beautiful in this subconscious, private state. The fact that he is drawn to Megha in this way...this admiration, protectiveness, friendship, sharing of moments...it does give him unexplainable happiness and peace. And he doesn't know the reason for it nor does he want to analyze and explore it any further. He's just happy going with the flow. So when mummy tried to see it as something negative, or something that wasn't there...I could feel and understand Mohan's irritation.
The Rashmi story a little contrived to me...I don't want Rashmi's past to be that simplistic...as in she just left abroad and that's it. I want it to be something more complicated so that I can sympathize with Mohan a bit more. Anyways, that GM scene was sweet though. I especially liked the way Guru goes, "Main bhi yahi chahta hoon"...when Megha says that ache log wali line. Aww it was just so sweet. Truly Guru is SUCH a true friend. All he wants are good things and happiness for his Mohan Bhaiya. Aww. :)))
And that Guru-Nanhi dance bit. Bahahah so awesome. I guess Nanhi is teaching him dance also now along with correcting his English. 😆 But I love Guru's random/so not in sync wali dancing. :P 😆 These two are such cute buddies. :D I love the fact that Nanhi pops over to see Guru now too even if Mohan isn't there. LOL Can this trio (and now I guess Megha is included in this little circle too in a way) get any cuter? lol
Ok can't type anymore...gotta run...lunchtime over. lol Can't wait for today's episode. :)
