Nagarjuna, who is playing Shirdi Sai Baba in his upcoming devotional movie, has so convincingly gotten into the skin of his character that even his close friends can barely recognize him. At a filmi event on Monday, Tabu, one of Nag's closest friends, walked right past him, without even a flicker of recognition in her eyes! The star, who now sports a crop of grey hair and an unkempt beard, had to call out to Tabu with a "Hello, I am Nagarjuna!". A surprised Tabu took a second to realize that it was her dear friend and the two shared a hearty laugh soon after.
Apart from Tabu, veteran actors Manjula, B Saroja Devi, Anjali Devi, and Mohan Babu too couldn't recognize the actor. "No one can recognize me in this new avtar," quipped Nag, who was amused with people's reactions all night.
