Dadisa2011---The point is not what you or we want, the point is what Anandi wants. She wants to stay in the haveli with her family. PERIOD. Let her stay there---who is anyone else like JG to dictate what Anandi should do?

There are plenty of girls who refuse to go away to a different place for studies and career and prefer to stay with their families. Contrarily there are many who want to experience the outside world. I have been away from home in hostels since I was 16. It was my choice. Similarly, there are many classmates of mine who stayed back with their families and are now settled in the same city. So? What's wrong in that? That's their choice. Similarly, there are many women who choose to stay back at home and not pursue a career while others want financial independence--so what is wrong in that? Shouldn't everybody have their own choices?

The point is not what one chooses to do but whether one gets the freedom to exert that choice. Anandi has made a choice to stay in the haveli--and she has freedom to apply that choice. Why should anyone force her to make a career outside Jetsar or vacate the haveli for JG's grand entry or force her to accept Jagya back? If JG blame her, that's their problem, not hers.

I don't think the haveli people have forced her about anything, it's only JG who keep interfering in her choices--- shouldn't Anandi be allowed to have a choice of her own?

Aptly put !

Anandi sees her connection to the Haveli as two relations - one as a wife to Jagya and another as a bahu of the house.

Jagya chose to break one and he did so in a way that got him in the docks with his family - he became unwelcome here.

The second relation - bahu - is still intact. Anandi has lived here ever since she was 8 and except for the time she was sent back to complete 18, she has given her ALL to the the people in this house. All her love, all her hard work, all her smiles, all her efforts to please the elders, everything. In fact - she very nearly gave her life to save the son of this house !

She is as integral a part of this house today as Jagya was/is. So why shud she leave ? Assuming that bullet had still gotten Jagya - Anandi wud still have lived here lifelong as his widow.

So - any efforts, any logic given to ask her to leave the haveli are nothing but guile's to get JG back in the haveli.

yes but remember that blood is always thicker than water. Realistically how many people disown their kids for their mistakes. eventually they will accept him back. tab kya hoga Anandi ka.

She has not even been given the chance to show her true values. I remember when she first came into that Haveli after marriage she was doing all she could to be like the perfect bahu. And ironically she has such a bad temper because of Dadisa onlyšŸ˜†

So the haveli people have no choice or likes of dislikes. They should give a chance to whoever jagya brings in as his wife to prove herself. Once he is bored with her they should throw her out and wait for their next beendni...
