anyway without any of my rant at the beginning, here is the next part.
CHAPTER 6: The Apology
Akash was still in shock as he saw deepika and payal coming in. He then hid his thoughts as he knew he could talk to arnav later about this matter.
Deepika had tears in her eyes as she saw arnav's state. She rushed toward him and engulfed him in a hug.
Deepika: how dare you do this to yourself bhai? Giving in to your anger like that. Are you so stupid? If something had happened to you, do you have any idea what would happen to me, Anjali di and arjun? But no. you have to do what you want. Never a care in the world about us.
Arnav: you know that is not true princess.
He said wiping deepika's tears and hugging her back.
Arnav: I am sorry. Forgive me princess.
Deepika: enough. Don't apologise. Don't talk just let me hug you for some time.
Arnav smiled and kept deepika in the hug wile payal came forward to talk to arnav.
Arnav: no don't even think about it payal.
Akash got scared and looked at arnav to check whether he was angry but arnav was clam as ever. This confused him. He looked at payal who in turn looked equally confused.
Arnav: don't you dare say thanks for last night. It was my duty to do what I did last night. So please don't embarrass me by saying thanks.
Payal: but you had no need to save me.
Arnav: Payal I have a sister. She might have been in your shoes last night. It is my duty Payal and nothing will change that. You are also like a sister to me, so I had to save you last night. Payal ran at arnav and hugged arnav and deepika together. Arnav looked at akash and winked.
Akash blushed.
They broke the hug and deepika tended to arnav's injuries.
Deepika: that's all fine. But why did khushi run out of here crying like that. Did something happen.
Arnav immediately looked away from deepika and stared out of the window.
Arnav: deepu, I don't want to lie to you. But I can't tell you the truth either. So please do me a favour and don't talk about this.
Deepika looked at her brother confused. This was the first time he had hidden something from her or even refused to tell her about something she wanted to know. She thought she'd ask khushi. That would be the best way to know why her brother acts strangely every time khushi's name is mentioned. Something was fishy and deepika desperate to find out.
Payal: thanks again arnavji.
Deepika went to tend to arnav's wounds but arnav stopped her.
Arnav: I can do it myself princess. Don't bother.
Deepika shoved his hands and gave him an angry glare.
Deepika: stop acting like a pesky kid bhai. Just let me take care of it. You don't bother about your cuts atleast let me. and dare you ask me to never bother you again.
Arnav smiled.
Arnav: ok ok. Don't get mad deepu.
Then arnav got his cut tended to by deepika and after he had taken a shower and gotten dressed they went straight to the dean's office reported the matter and then went to the police station to file their complaint.
There all were shocked to know that a complaint had been registered against arnav singh raizada. When arnav asked the inspector about who filed the complaint everyone were shocked to know that it was khushi but had then later removed arnav's name.
Payal looked very embarrassed towards arnav. The one who had saved her was the first to be blamed.
Payal: I am sorry arnavji. On behalf of khushi also I would like to apologise. She doesn't think for two seconds before she does what she wants. She is a fool, an honest fool though. please do forgive us. If you want we both will move out of your sister's room in hostel.
She had tears in her eyes. Arnav came and wiped them off.
Arnav: didn't I tell you not to act so guilty. Its alright. Misunderstandings do happen. And its no ones fault. Just stop crying. we'll update your statement and then I have a surprise for you all.
After all the formalities in the police station were done, arnav took them to a small narrow lane nearby his the raizada mansion. They parked the car and walked for a bit and came to a chaat shop.payal screamed with delight as she saw the shop.
Payal: oh I just love chaat. Thanks for bringing us here arnavji.
Arnav: now you guys go and eat whatever you want. Its my winning treat.
Everyone enjoyed their chaat. Though payal and deepika were trying to think of ways to make khushi and arnav talk to each other for some time. After that akash had come over and had taken payal for a small walk.
Arnav: Deepika, I can drop you in your hostel if you want. Akash texted me that he'll be a bit late with payal and would drop her himself.
Deepika: sure bhai.
She agreed immediately as she wanted to talk to khushi desperately as khushi had not called them since morning and it was now getting late in the evening. Deepika had started to worry about khushi.
They finally reached hostel.
Deepika: bhai do you want to come in?
Arnav: no deepu. She'll be there.
Deepika: why do you hate her this much bhai?
Arnav: I don't hate her deepu, its just---- aargh, forget it. You wont understand.
And saying so arnav drove off with khushi's thoughts in his head.
Arnav: why cant you leave me alone khushi. Please get out of my mind.

Deepika saw her brother leave. She wasn't able to think as to what would make arnav so against a person he had just met. No there was certainly something else at play here. There was something very wrong.
She ran upstairs to her room to find khushi and talk to her. As soon as she opened the door, she was shocked to what she saw. Khushi was sitting in the corner and crying. her eyes were blood red and it looked like she had been crying since morning. She looked weak and fagile. She looked like she was broken. She went near her and just pulled khushi into a hug. She gave her a tight hug and khushi looked at deepika for comfort.
Khushi: why does arnavji hate me so much? what have I done to him that he hates me so damn much? am I such a bad person?
Deepika: alright now I have had enough. Both of you are so damn confusing. Khushi my brother doesn't hate you. He said so himself.
Khushi: but whenever I go infront of him he just pushes me off and starts shouting at me.
Deepika: that I do not know khushi. He isn't telling me the reason as to how and why he reacts to you like that but I know for a fact that he doesn't hate you and that he regrets behaving with you the way he does. I am going to make this right today. I cant see you both punishing yourselves like this. Come with me..
Khushi: where are we going?
Deepika: to meet my stupid bhai, arnav singh raizada.
Khushi stiffened. She pleaded with deepika,
Khushi: leave it deepika, he hates the sight of me. it will only spoil his mood. And after the blame I put on him I don't deserve his company.
Deepika: what rubbish. We all make mistakes. But that doesn't mean we have to be punished for life. Otherwise how will we rectify them? Not for me, atleast for your devi maiyya go and talk to him and clear all this out.
Khushi finally agreed with a sigh. Deepika was right. She had to try.
Deepika hired a taxi and they were on their way to raizada mansion.

Deepika had reached the house and took khushi with her. She asked OP about arnav's whereabouts. OP informed them that arnav was gardening.
Khushi though was scared about her encounter with arnav found this very strange.
Khushi: gardening?
Deepika: oh. You don't know right, bhai takes care of his garden by himself. Doesn't hire anyone. He loves his plants as much as he would love me or Anjali di.
Khushi was stunned on hearing this. The great ASR loves gardening. Anyway they were here for a different purpose. She got ready to face him. It had to be done. There was no other way.
Deepika opened the door to arnav's room and then pointed towards the poolside where arnav's garden was.
Deepika: this is between both of you. So I wont come in between. Go and talk to him. I'll be in arjun's room.
Khushi walked toward the garden where she saw arnav tending to his plants. He was tending to them with a lot of care and affection. Khushi smiled looking at arnav tend his plants. She felt some courage rise in her heart and she moved forward.
Arnav could sense something was wrong.. he felt something funny. Something that made him uneasy.
Arnav(thinking): oh stop thinking about her arnav and do your damn job. She isn't here.
Khushi came forward and stood behind him.
Khushi: excuse me.
Arnav got shocked. Was his mind playing tricks on him? No this felt way too real. He turned around to see khushi standing behind him. He got up and turned around.
Arnav: what are you doing here? didn't I tell you to stay away from me?
He immediately regretted saying those word as he saw her state. Her blood shot eyes bore lot of pain.
Arnav: khushi? Whats wrong?
Khushi: I had come to apologise for earlier. I should not have jumped to a wrong conclusion. It has now made you hate me.
And then tears started flowing from her eyes. Big big tears came as she cried out loudly.
Arnav: hey stop doing that.
Khushi: what?
Arnav: that thing with your eyes and everything.
Khushi: huh?
Arnav: those tears. I don't like to see anyone crying.
But khushi couldn't stop. She kept weeping continuously.
Arnav stood there completely shocked at first and then a smile broke out on his face seeing how cute she looked. Exactly like a small kid.
Arnav(thinking): cute? What the hell is wrong with you arnav? Get a grip on yourself damn it.
Khushi then collapsed on the floor.
Arnav: KHUSHI.
Arnav went forward and helped her up. He then felt how weak she actually was. He gave her a tight hug.
Arnav: khushi did you eat anything since morning.
Khushi shook her head.
Arnav: what? Why?
Khushi: you hate me. and I slapped you and you saved my di. But you hate me.
Arnav finally realized how much pain he had caused her by trying to push her away.
Arnav(thinking): sorry khushi, but I have to push you away. Otherwise,
But he was cut off as he saw khushi become paler and paler every second.
He lifted her in his arms and ran towards his room.
He put khushi on the recliner and then ran towards the kitchen. He quickly made her food and also brought some sweets that were in the fridge.
He also brought her some fresh juice. She was too weak to eat. And was nearly loosing consciousness.
Arnav first made her to drink the juice as it would give her immediate energy. Then when she was done drinking the juice he slowly spoon fed her the food. One after another he fed her the rice and daal spoon by spoon until she said that she was full.
Now he took some sweet and placed it in her mouth. She had finished the sweet and was about to get up, when arnav put his hand on her shoulder and asked her not to move.
He picked her up and placed her on his bed and tucked her into a blanket. By instinct he kissed her on her forehead and put her to sleep.
Khushi felt at peace when arnav kissed her forehead and she slept peacefully.
Arnav walked over to the recliner and took out his dear unruled notebook and a pencil and sat down to do his hobby.
After about two hours he was done and he slept on the recliner itself as sleep took him over too.
