After violence, abuses, intimate scenes, the latest flavour of the telly season is - item songs. In the past 15 days, three prime-time shows weaved hot and sizzling numbers into their soap sagas. If Princess Amrit of Amrit Manthan on Life OK made some seductive moves, as the popular number Jaanewale Ruk Jaa Zara played in the background, Menka, the elder bahu of telesoap Pratigya on Star Plus, tried to whet the appetite of her husband Shakti Singh with a raunchy mujra. The latest item number to hit the small screen is Anarkali Disco Chali, which was telecast in a recent episode of Punarvivaah at a bachelor's party, picturised on Additi Gupta. Earlier, Shweta Tiwari and Sara Khan did an item number each in Yahan main ghar ghar kheli and Baat hamari pakki hai, respectively. Even Kashmera Shah couldn't resist doing an item number in Pratigya. So, are these item songs here to stay on tube?
