It seems Jaya Bachchan’s temper has made its way back into the headlines. The veteran actor-turned-politician was once again caught on camera losing her cool, this time at a fan who tried to click a selfie with her. The incident took place on Tuesday at Delhi’s Constitution Club, where the Samajwadi Party MP was present alongside Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi. In the now-viral clip, a man can be seen moving closer to Bachchan to take a picture. Clearly unimpressed, she immediately pushed him away and snapped, “Kya kar rahe hai aap? What is this?” Chaturvedi, standing nearby, glanced over at the commotion before walking inside.
The video quickly spread across social media, triggering yet another round of public debate on Bachchan’s behaviour. While some netizens called her reaction rude and unnecessary, others urged people to stop hounding celebrities for selfies altogether. Comments ranged from, “Why bother with such people?” to “We respect her as an actor, but this is too much.”
This isn’t the first time Bachchan has been in the spotlight for similar reasons. Known for her no-nonsense persona and zero tolerance for what she considers inappropriate conduct, she has had several public run-ins with fans, paparazzi, and even fellow parliamentarians.

Over the years, Bachchan has earned a reputation for being blunt and easily irritable in public settings. While her admirers defend her as straightforward and unfiltered, critics argue that her outbursts come across as unnecessarily harsh, especially in fan interactions.
Whether it’s the press calling out “Bachchan!” too loudly or an eager selfie-seeker getting too close, one thing is certain, Jaya Bachchan rarely holds back when something bothers her. And with every viral video, her image as Bollywood’s most famously grumpy celebrity only gets more cemented.
If history is any indication, this won’t be the last time the camera catches her mid-outburst, and the internet will be ready to react, one viral clip at a time.
