He and I are pass outs of same 2004-batch of Mayo college, Ajmer (Rajasthan). He was in Mayo boys & i was in Mayo Girls'...both Boarding schools r situated just across the road.

Is it the same he has mentioned in some random interview where there's a tradition of breaking open the gates of girls hostel on the day of holi?

Oh gosh...that was back to High school & as the schools were situated separately & hv huge batch strength of up to 100 each...both sides just used to get some occasions like award ceremonies, functions & school fates, in the year to interact...& during Socials (a tradition in Mayo where Both schools' XII class gets exclusive chance to meet each other & spend evening together as a batch, at least thrice a year) even if we met that time..which probably we did not...i didn't remember it till I saw some of my school friends' added as his friends!!
Since then we are added at Facebook...& hv chatted many times..& thats it to it!! when i told him that I couldn't recognize him when saw him on-screen, he told me that he used to look very different and was shy types so even if we met, i wouldn't hv remembered !!

I really do not know which interview u r referring to..but still i do not think he was talking abt Mayo. Mayo Girls' is way too strict to allow anything like that. I do not know in past, but during the years i studied there, nothing like that happened. He probably might hv been talking abt Pune University where he has pursued his further studies.
Mayo College, Ajmer is one of the finest Boarding schools in India established by British in 1885 . It is a all guys school. Mayo College Girl's School, its branch for girls was opened in 1987, just opposite Mayo Boys in Ajmer.
