Going down rabbit hole matlab kya khargosh ki surang me koodna?
That also was known already when the engagement between both of them got into the way of Priyanka working with Salman...the prospect of tying her future to Nick's connections (and to show the 'middlefinger' to whomever) certainly was a strong decision-maker. Everything witnessed in public hasn't to reflect a deeper truth than just being an act for the public... but it also could be all genuine...in the end, they are a 'celebrity-couple'.
I had no idea about Nick's history and his gay rumours, but when they first announced their engagement I was definitely shocked because it came out of nowhere. They barely dated for two months before Nick proposed to her, and they hadn't even met before that. So it seemed extremely sus.
Added to the fact that Priyanka's own history never tied up with that -- she's always dated men older than her, especially the married ones. To see her settle with someone ten years younger was definitely a surprise.
But if we go by this theory, then the surrogacy thing adds up.
Priyanka is extremely ambitious and was trying to make in-roads into Hollywood but wasn't meeting with much success; so marriage to one of the Jonas brothers at least made her somewhat relevant to American pop culture, since the Jonas brothers are pretty much household names in the US.
I am not sure how this marriage helped Nick except make him famous in India (but again, that wouldn't have helped much, except get him a lot of Indian/desi followers on social media).
Aren't there a lot of celebrity marriages/relationships also in India to serve as a 'cover-up' (sadly seeing as a need)?
I would not judge PC's and Nick's relationship however genuine it is... it's what they decided mutually.
btw..PC made 4x to golden globes, record for a bollywood actress
...
Nick posted a performance of Shararat with his bros and Ranveer replied to which Nick replied. Love Veer and PC's friendship and how Nick also...
