It was a usual day for Shan and Khanak ever since they had left the K-mansion. Though unusual for their luxurious life, but they had to get adjusted. The main problem of accommodation was solved at the time being, as Duck had offered them to stay at their 1 room flat.
Khanak was flipping through each and every phase of her life with Shantanu, her life at d K-mansion with ada, mummyji, Akshyae bha , Khusboo. Tears dropped from her eyes as she became nostalgic cng d photos.
"Pata nahi kab sab kuch thik hoga? Ada aur Mummyji ko Shantanu ki kitni yaad ati hogi? Shantanu bhi na..mana ki apne payro pe khade hona chahte hai, par apne ada-bai se baat toh kare..nahi yeh aur inki 'Shelf Respect'..Rishto se badi toh nahi hai na?"
She was right. Shantanu Khandelwal had changed a lot in the past few days. He was no longer the carefree, irresponsible brat, rather a man of pride. He preferred to struggle in his own field , working on his ambition rather than being a spoon fed boy at his father's company. He had preferred to work as a team member of a band rather than being a lead singer at Rahul's recommendation at the latter's music company. He still couldn't get over the betrayal his friend had caused him.
The only thing he possessed was patience and zest, which ofcourse was due to the constant support and presence of his love, his Khanak.
Shan smiled to himself, took out Khanak's pic from his wallet, kissed it and kept it back as his bus came to the stop.

Jingle Bell..Jingle Bell..Jingle All d way!!
Khanak's afternoon nap was interrupted by the bell ringing, enough to irritate her, partly because of the bell tone, which actually happened to be Duck's idea.
"Itni dopahar ko?..Kahin Duck bha toh nahi?"
She was wrong!
"Aap?"
She exclaimed in surprise cng Shan at the door.
"Haan main.tumhara one and only burthal. Arey! Aise kyun ghoor rahi ho yaar?"
"Shantanu! Par, aap yahan, abhi kaise?"
"umm..main yahan apne rented house mein, apne biwi ke ..paas hoon and.."
She gently pushed him away as he came forward to hug her.
"Khanak!"
"Shantanu! Jake hath mooh dho kar ayiye"
"Arey Yaar..subah se ek kiss bhi nahi diya yaar"
"badboo mar rahe ho aap!"
Saying this, Khanak literary pushes Shan towards the bathroom as he reluctantly murmers
"Woman! U have OCD!"
"hein..OCD?..yeh kya hai?..khair jo bhi hai, main jake chai banati hoon, jab tak Shantanu phresh hoke ate hai."
At the balcony
"Shantanu..Duck bha ka ghar jaroor chota hai..par hai bada sundar"
Shan smiled as Khanak repeated her praise for Duck's house. Coming closer to her, wrapping his hands around her, he says in a teasing tone.
"Khanak..kahin tum bhi aise ghar ke samne toh nahi dekh rahi ho..Not bad waise. Ek na din toh we will have our own house"
"hmm..Shantanu, par filhaal toh hamare paas ek bhade mein bhi ghar nahi hai. Hum kab tak yun Duck bha pe bhoj rahenge?"
She was serious.
" Isi baat ki toh main koshish kar raha hoon Khanak and I think hamare is problem ka solution milne wala hai"
"matlab?"
"matlab yeh Mrs Khandelwal ki mujhe, yani ki tumhare alsi burthal ko, apne mehnat ki 1st phal milne wali hai"
"sachi!"
She was overjoyed.
"muchi!"
He naughtily her nose as she hugs him tightly.
"par Khanak, ek problem hai"
She raises her eyebrows in question.
"umm..I need to go out of town. Kal Pune jana hoga, 3 days ka programme hai, mere band ki performance hogi."
"Aap 3 dino tak nahi rahoge?..Nahi..main nahi rahungi akele, mujhe bhi jana hai apke sath"
She gets up pouting.
"Khanak!..Zidd nahi karte nahi na. Aur sirf 3 days ki toh baat hai"
"Sirf! Apke liye sirf hoga..Mr. Buzy Khandelwal"
He laughs cng her childish attitude. Pulling her into his lap, he cajoles her
"Khanak..tum khud kehti thi na ki kuch pane ke liye kuch khona padta hai."
"haan, woh sab thik hai Shantanu, par main akele?"
"Tum akele kahan ho Khanak? Duck toh hai na?"
"Kya?"
She gets up startled!
"arey mera matlab hai Duck ki caf mein tum apna time paas kar sakti ho na"
It took Shan quite a few minutes to convince Khanak.
"btw Khanak, I have got a surprise for you"
"Shurprise?"
He takes out a couple of papers from his pocket.
"tain te dain!..Puppet Show!"
She looks at him in amusement as he makes a gesture.
"tum hamesha kehti thin a u miss Dhulwadi ke gudde wali khel, toh here it is."
Her face lits up.
"Shantanu! Hum sach much waise hi khel dekhenge jaise Dhulwadi mein hota tha?"
"yes darling n not only dat, hum uske baad ke jayenge ke dhabe mein, tumhe yaad hai na?"
"haan! Who main kaise bhool sakti hoon. Apne apni jeevan mein pehli baar mehnat kiya tha"
She leans on him, remembering those days.
"hamare dosti ki shuruat Shantanu"
"jo pyar mein badal gayi and…"
She pushes him away again as he tries to come closer for a kiss.
After enjoying the whole afternoon and evening, Shan and Khanak reach home around 10 PM, only to find Ducks.
"DuckS!! Tu yahan kya kar raha hai?" Shan exclaims.
"Mera ghar hai" Duck yawns.
"Mere Duck bhai, tujhe maine kaha tha na, aaj raat caf mein so ja."
"Tu aur bhabhi jake sojao …caf mein..Goodnight."
Before Shan could say anything, Duck had fallen asleep, making Shan irritated.
"umm..Shantanu, mujhe bhi neend aarahi hai, toh main bhi.."
"haan, haan, so jao, tumko toh apni enjoyment mil gayi"
He gave a taunting reply to her teasing.
"Shantanu! Kahan ja rahe ho?"
"Uparwale ko apni tragedy sunane"
She laughs to herself as he barges out of the room, towards d terrace, holding d bedding , murmering to himself.
"Burthal!"
Immediately, she follows him to the terrace, only to find him standing near the parapet. She goes and hugs him from behind, her face leaning on his back.
"ho gayi baat upar wale se?"
"hmm"
"kya manga?"
""meri Khanak mere paas rahe, use sari khushiyan mile"
Saying so, he kisses her hand and turns towards her. Holding her face with both hands, he says in a low tone.
"U know Khanak, mujhe soch ke bhi dar lagta hai ki main tumhare bina kya karta? Main Bhagwan ko jitne bhi thanks bolu, woh kam hai. Usne mujhe duniya ki sabse precious gift diya hai, and dats U! I just love u Khanak and chahta hoon, tumhare sath bitaya har pal bas tham jaye.."
She could see tears in his eyes . Suddenly, Splash!
"Khanak!"
Shan makes a mock anger look as Khanak splashes the rain drop at him.
Before he could react more, she was gone in the middle of the terrace, enjoying the rain. He tried stopping her , dragging her, but in vain.
"Khanak! Pagal ho, andar chalo, hum bheeg jayenge".
As he turns around, she holds his hand, making him face her. Carassing his cheek, she says softly.
"abhi toh apne kaha tha Shantanu ki aap is pal ko hume kaid karna chahiye, who kya kehta hai ..Cherish"
"hmm..mere kehne ka matlab kuch aur tha"
Shying away, she moves back as she feels his gaze shifting from her eyes to her lips.
"umm..Shantanu, baarish ruk gayi, niche chale?"
"kyun?" He comes 4ward, as she moves back.
"who..kapde..geele hai..Shantanu"
"Really!!..Toh main"
She quickly turns to the other side as he takes off his shirt. Before she could escape, he pulls her , from back, making her back touch his bare torso, running a chill down her spine.
She feels a tickling sensation as his right hand moves on her bare tummy.
"Shantanu, kapde.."
"Geele hai toh.."
He din completed the sentence, rather completed his action as he gently removed her saree pallu from her left shoulder, planting a kiss on d nape, making her shrug.
"kya kar rahe ho Shantanu?"
"pal ko kaid kar raha hoon"
"kaise?"
"Pyar karke"
He sucks on her shoulder, making her gasp. Meanwhile, his hands have a mind of their own, His left hand wandering from her waist to above, until they reach her bossom, while his right hand plucks off her saree.
Her knees go weak. Unable to bear further, she turns towards him, hugging him tightly. Gently moving her away from the hug, he holds her face lovingly, kissing her trembling lips, rather a passionate smooch, which comes to a abrupt halt, as she pushes him away.
"Shantanu..wahan chalo na" She manages to say, in between breathes.
He lifts her up, after planting a kiss on her forehead, as she points to the bedding.
Thus under the open sky, admist the cool breeze, under the shinning moon and glittering stars, Shanak move to their own world, as they get united.
