Part 15:

"I'll not Geet. I'll not." He said as he hugged her back gently patting her back to calm her down still confused of the words that just escaped from his mouth.

He himself was confused on his reaction but den reasoned himself that he was just returning the favour that she had done to him while dressing his wound but somewhere in his heart he knows that this was not only the reason. The reason of him comforting her is far beyond of wat he reasoned himself but the realization was yet to dawn upon him.

Geet's whimpers died as soon as she felt the warmth of his embrace as if her heart knows that she's safe in his arms. She soon drifted to sleep yet again in his embrace. Maan felt her heavy breathing on his chest nd guessed that she had drifted to sleep. he wanted to free her from his embrace but his heart was not allowing him to leave her alone nd go back to couch so after contemplating much wid himself he shifted her back on the bed while still keeping her in his arms. She was too much in sleep to know anything happening around her. Probably this is the first tym in these months wen she was sleeping so peacefully without any fear or nightmare. Maan looked at her serene face once again before drifting off to sleep while keeping her in his arms. He switched off the light as the sleep took over him nd dey slept peacefully in each other's arm.

It was a dark night nd raining heavily nd she was running as fast as she can. She could hear his evil laughter behind her as he was following her. She was tired of running from so long yet she keeps on running. She cried for help whole running but no one came dere for her help. As his footsteps were reaching near her, her fear of something worse gets stronger too. And Wen she thought that there is no escape now she bumped into something or rather someone. Panic gripped her heart as she thought of being caught but soon she realizes that it was not the person from whom she's running from nd next moment she flung her arms around him.

And then everything changed. Rain stopped, Darkness gone, all her fears just got vanished as she felt the warmth of his embrace that was holding her protectively assuring her that she's safe. She pressed herself closer to him to make sure that he's dere wid her nd will not go anywhere. Nd as the realization dawned upon her that she's safe now nd dere's no one behind her she turned her head up to look at the face of her savior. Her vision was blurred nd she couldn't able to see his face. She rubbed her eyes to get a clear view of him nd den she saw him. It was Maan who had held her protectively in his embrace.

It was again him in whose arms she felt protected nd safe. It was again him that had brought her out from her nightmare. It was her Dusht Daanav Maan Sir. It was Maan Sir, she thought and her eyes went wide wid shock nd next

"Aaahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Maan's sleep gets disturbed nd he instantly gets up from his sleep listening to her scream. It took him sometym to register what is happening nd as soon as realization dawn upon him he instantly covers Geet's mouth with his hand who was still screaming.

"Shut up Geet. Why the hell are you shouting?" he said while towering over her still covering her mouth.

Geet got startled wid his sudden proximity. Her scream died in her throat as she looked deep into his eyes. She could see that the expression in his eyes gets softened as dey looked deep into her eyes nd den she herself didn't know wen she gets lost in those dark eyes. Maan's condition was not less as he looked into her eyes he found himself drowning in them. He forgets all the sense of right or wrong as he looked into her eyes. He doesn't know the reason but her eyes always captivate him, just like they did that evening in his cabin. Dere lips were ere inches away from each other nd his breath were fanning her lips. Just an inch ahead nd dey can touch each other. He could feel her breathing heavily as her chest rose up nd down against his creating havoc in his body nd arousing desires which was yet unknown to him. He gently removed his hand from her mouth as he felt her difficulty in breathing brushing his fingers on her lips feeling the softness of those lips not breaking the eye lock.

Geet tried many tymes to look other side or to push him away from her but his gaze was not leaving her nd holding her into them. His touch on her lips was giving goosebumps in her body. Both didn't realize how much tym has been passed, it seems the world around dem has been stopped. She had long forgotten the reason of her sudden scream neither she felt any kind of fear wid his proximity. It was strange yet it seems perfect. As if she belongs there. No matter how much she tried to get him away from her but her heart was not letting her to.

After wat seems like eternity they broke their eye lock wen they heard a loud shrill of alarm of Maan's phone. Maan realizes wat he was doing nd he instantly gets off her sitting on the other side of bed. He switched off his alarm nd looked at Geet who was adjusting her dress while looking other side. Few minutes of silence passed by with no one speaking a word to anyone.

"Wo I''.." they both spoke at same tym in order to break the silence between them nd den stopped yet again.

"What were you doing beside me on bed?" Geet asked before Maan could say anything.

"Sleeping?" Maan said as a matter of fact.

"Wat? That I also can notice but y were you sleeping beside me? nd actually to ask how did I land up being on Bed, I clearly remember that I was at couch last nite wen I slept then how did I land up on being Bed" Geet asked not able to understand anything

"Will you just give a break to your Shatabdi Express for god sake?" Maan said getting irritated wid her non-stop questionings.

"Nd you are asking what I am doing beside you on bed well to tell you Ms. Handa it's me only in whose Arms you had slept whole night peacefully." Maan said not realizing what he was saying while Geet just looked at him in horror.

Wat does he mean that she had slept whole night peacefully in his arms? Did they do anything, she thought as she checked herself from top to bottom. She sighed in relief as she saw herself fully dressed but then wat does he mean by that nd why the hell does she not remembering anything, she thought as she looked at him confused.

"Wat... Wat do you mean?" She asked fearing for his answer nd that's wen Maan realized what he had said.

"o God! Don't think otherwise I mean to say that I was sleeping on my side wen u came rolling towards me from your side. I tried to put you back on your side but you just snuggled more close so I had no other option" Maan said as he shrugged his shoulders

"What do you mean that you don't have any other option? Nd y u had even brought me here on Bed on first place because I clearly remember that I slept on couch last nite nd for one thing I am sure that I don't had a habbit of walking in sleep nd if you brought me here also den y did you slept beside me?" Geet said angrily seeing how coolly he's replying her questions

"I brought you over here out of courtesy as I thought that it's my responsibility to make sure that you don't have any problem but once again you proved me wrong. You proved that it's useless to help you girls as inspite of being thankful to me you are just questioning me nd as far as my sleeping beside you in concerned then if you had forgotten then this room is booked under my name so I am free to sleep anywhere nd wat did u thought that I'll sacrifice my cozy Bed for a mere Secretary, forget it" Maan lied while looking away knowing that he wont be able to lie once he'll look into her hazels.

Geet don't know why but she felt hurt wen Maan said that he was sleeping beside her because he don't want to sacrifice his bed nd more den that him calling her 'mere secretary'. She still can't forget the contentment that she felt in the morning wen she woke up in his arms that were holding her protectively. Probably she was thinking too much. Y would he care for her Afterall she's just his mere secretary dats wat he had said to her, she thought as she smiled bitterly

"Now what are you waiting for Geet? If you had forgotten den let me remind you that we are having meeting wid Mr. Mehta today so don't waste your tym in thinking so much nd giving pressure to your pea-sized brain nd go nd get ready. I am going for my jog nd wen I'll come back I want to see you all ready." Maan said as he made his outside the room leaving Geet dazed.

After a while wen she realized that Maan had left she pulled herself out of bed nd took out her clothes for change. Thank god she had brought an extra pair of clothes wid her, she thought as she made her way towards the washroom. Maan's words were still ringing in her ears. Can it be possible that whatever he was saying is true? If yes, then why her heart is not believing.

She still remembers her nightmare nd the warmth of those arms who had engulfed her in her dreams. Same warmth she had felt in Maan's embrace too but wen he said that he slept beside her because he don't want to sacrifice his cozy bed for her she felt a pang in her heart as if all her dreams got shattered.

But may be whatever he was saying is true. May be she was in too much dazed due to her nightmare that she failed to understand anything else. Its better that she shrug off all her thoughts right here as Maan will be the last person who can care for her this much nd she would expect anything like such from him. He had always hater her nd will hate her forever nd no one can change this fact.

Maan was running profusely on the treadmill in the gym of the hotel. The words he said to Geet were running continuously in her mind nd he just increased the speed of the treadmill as he reminded of those words. He knows whatever he said to her was utter lie. He didn't slept beside holding her because he don't want to sacrifice his cozy bed but he wanted to make her feel safe nd secure. He still hasn't forgotten her terrified face wen she woke up last night from her nightmare neither he could forget her sleeping peacefully in his arms as if she knows that she's safe.

Nd its not only her who slept peacefully last night he himself has slept so peacefully after ages. He didn't remember wen was the last tym wen he slept so peacefully as if keeping her in his arms had soothed all his pains nd wounds that he had in his heart depriving him from sleeping peacefully. Y? The reason was still unknown to him but he can't make it obvious to her. He cant let her know the effect she had on him. Thatsy he said lie to her in the morning but he felt a pang in his own heart wen he said those words to her which were not true. He had seen the expressions of her face getting changed wen he said her mere secretary nd he felt like killing himself moment.

He don't y its happening wid him? he had never thought twice before saying anything to anyone that how his words will effect that person den y is he thinking so much for Geet. y seeing her forlorn face has made him die 100 deaths. Y he was angry on himself for saying lie to her? Probably it was guilt that he was having; guilt that she had cared for him last night while he just rudely said to her in morning that he slept beside her because he paid for the room nd he can sleep anywhere. But who is he fooling somewhere in the back of his mind he too knows that it was not guilt. Feeling was much more beyond that which he was not ready to accept yet.

Wen Maan came back to his room after his vigorous work out he saw Geet all ready for the meeting. She looked at him nd den again back at magazine not wanting to have any kind of conversation wid him. Maan knows that he had hurted her but its better to hurt someone rather den getting hurted in return, he thought as he made his way towards washroom but the guilt that he was having that he had hurted her wid his words wen all she did is to care for him last night was not leaving him but den again his "Prevention is better then cure" Policy is not letting him to feel anything else.

After a while wen he came out from Washroom he found Geet had already ordered breakfast for both of dem. he was surprised to see that she knows wat he likes in breakfast but den isn't it she was suppose to know being his secretary, he thought nd made his way towards the couch where Geet was waiting for him for breakfast.

"I had talked to the secretary of Mr. Mehta nd told her about the reason for delay of in our meeting. He asked us to give presentation at 12 pm as after that he'll be busy in the preparations of the inauguration of their hotel" Geet informed as she took the bite of her Paratha

"Great. So you had made all the arrangements of meeting that's gud." Maan said while taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Ya ofcourse Afterall I am your 'secretary' nd it's my duty" Geet said nd Maan stiffened a bit as he realize to which context she was saying this.

"Geet wo'.." he tried to say something wen Geet interrupted

"I am done wid my breakfast. You also finish it fast as the venue of meeting is at 1 hour drive from here. We can't afford to get late." Geet said as she wipes her hands from napkin nd made her way towards Dresser to pick her Bag nd other necessary documents for the meeting.

Maan sighed knowing that its better to leave the matter over here nd finishes his breakfast nd after making sure that everything is ready for the presentation they both made their way outside for the meeting.

They both reached the venue after 1 hour of drive where Mr. Mehta was waiting for them. They exchanged pleasantries to each other nd made there way towards the hall for the presentation. Mr. Mehta was more den happy to see Geet over dere. After her presentation at KC he had became huge fan of Geet that's the reason he had specially requested Maan to bring Geet wid him.

As the presentation started Geet presented the blueprints in front of the clients. Nd as expected everyone in the hall were impressed wid her. Maan felt proud on Geet for the first tym wen he saw appreciation in the eyes of the clients for Geet as she presented everything in front of the clients with great confidence as well as giving answers to each nd every question of theirs patiently nd wid a smile on her face.

It was almost evening wen the presentation gets over nd everyone in the hall were impressed by the work presented by KC. It's the best design they had ever seen for the township for Middle class people. Mr. Mehta was just not getting tired of Praising Maan nd Geet as a best team.

"It was a great presentation Mr. Khurana" Mr. Mehta said as he shook his hands wid him.

"Thank you Mr. Mehta. Glad u liked it"

"Like it? I loved it. I told you earlier too that you nd Ms. Geet makes a best team so ultimately this presentation has to be best" Mr. Mehta said nd Maan smiled slyly listening to his statement

"Thank you so much Mr. Mehta. Since you had approved the blueprints so we can start working on the project nd rest of the details we can discuss once we reach Delhi"

"Ya ofcourse infact I am more den willing to start this project wid your company. BTW Mr. Khurana if you don't mind can I request something from you."

"Yes ofcourse Mr. Mehta you don't have to request us for anything" Maan said as he waited for Mr. Mehta to continue

"As you know Mr. Khurana that tomorrow is the inauguration of my hotel so it would be my great pleasure if you nd Ms. Geet will attend the party nd grace the function." Mr. Mehta said nd Maan looked at him in surprise while Geet just halted in her actions of collecting files nd Laptop. Both Maan nd Geet looked at each other nd den back at Mr. Mehta as if he had grown two heads.

"We would Love to Mr. Mehta but we need to return back to Delhi as there's lots of work pending over dere" Maan tried to give an excuse but all in vain.

"O c'mon Mr. Khurana it's just a matter of one more day nd anyways tomorrow is Sunday so dere won't be much loss of Ur work. Please it's my sincere request." Mr. Mehta requested both of dem nd dey both can't refuse him seeing him requesting this much

"Fine Mr. Mehta if you are insisting so much me nd Geet will definitely attend the party." Maan said while Geet looked at him in shock. Wat did he just said that they both have to attend party next day that means they had to spend one more night over her. o god in which mess did she stuck up, she thought as she looked at Maan who was conversing wid Mr. Mehta about the details of project nd all.

"I can't tolerate you for even one second nd here I have to tolerate you for whole one more night" Maan said as he drove towards the hotel.

"You were saying as if I am dyeing to spend tym wid you. For ur kind information even I can't tolerate you for a minute" Geet retorted back nd Maan looked at her angrily.

"So you mean to say that it's my mistake that we have to stay over here one more night" Maan said while looking on road.

"Ofcourse or do you think that its mine. If you had refused Mr. Mehta then we both will be on our way to Delhi" Geet said as a matter of fact.

"U were dere only Na den haven't u seen how Mr. Mehta was requesting. Oh I forgot how could you see after all the almighty had given you buttons in place of eyes" Maan said sarcastically while Geet just dropped her jaw listening to him.

"Excuse me! I can very well see wat happened over dere nd for ur kind information I had very gud eye sight or else clients wont be impressed wid my presentation" Geet said in order to defense herself nd before Maan could say anything dey both notices the jerking of Car nd den finally coming to a halt.

Maan tried to ignite the car many tymes but all his effort turned futile. He just banged his fist hard on the steering as he realizes that his car has been broke down.

"See even my Car cant tolerate ur Bak-Bak nd it halted" Maan said as he gets down the car followed by Geet who just looked at Maan open mouthed.

"Excuse Me sir wats my fault in this if ur car broke down. If you had given your car for regular servicing that probably it wouldn't happen today." Geet retorted back coming near Maan who was looking through engine.

"Geet I am really not interested to buy ur crap so just keep quiet nd let me try to fix it." Maan said while checking engine.

"y? Are you a mechanic?" Geet said nd Maan narrowed his eyes

"Wat? Y are you looking at me like that? Sir I haven't said anything wrong. It cant be fixed by you so better we can get some mechanic unless you wont plan to spend whole night at the road." Geet said nd Maan couldn't deny that she was saying true.

"See I can see a mechanic shop over dere. Lets go sir nd ask someone to repair the car." Geet said as she showed him a shop at a distance nd move ahead to get a mechanic followed by Maan.

Its been half an hour since the mechanic was repairing their car nd it seems that its going to take another hour too so Geet decided to have a walk on road instead of standing near the car. Maan had no other option but to walk wid her as it's not safe to let her walk alone at this tym on the deserted road. All the tym it was Geet only who was continuously blabbering while Maan was just listening to her wondering hw can anyone talk so much/ they had walked few distance only wen Geet's eyes caught the sight of Kulfi wala.

"Sir Kulfi." She said as she pointed at a direction happily nd Maan followed her gaze.

"So?" Maan asked in confusion.

"sir come na lets have it" Geet said as she move towards it only to be stopped by Maan.

"Geet Kulfi? Are you nuts? Its so cold nd you want to have Kulfi" Maan said in disbelief while Geet just rolled her eyes.

"C'mon sir haven't u had heard it in movies that "its fun to have Kulfi in cold" trust me sir u'll like it." Geet said as he looked at the vendor.

"Geet, I don't believe all this crap nd moreover I just cant have it by any road side vendor its so unhygienic" Maan said as he made a face seeing the vendor.

"Sir believe me or not but its more den hygienic nd tasty den the one u have from branded restaurants." Geet said nd Maan rolled his eyes.

"U don't believe me right? Wait let me get it for you den only u'll believe me." Geet said nd Before Maan could protest Geet had already made her way towards the vendor.

"God knows wat dis girl is upto now? i hope she's not planning to kill me from cold nd cough" Maan muttered as he looked at retreating form of Geet who was busy in buying Kulfi from vendor.

After a while he saw Geet coming towards him wid two Kulfis nd he knows that now she wont leave it until he he'll had the Kulfi.

"Here take it" Geet said as she handed over the Kulfi to him.

"Geet u seriously wanted me to have it?" Maan asked as he looked at Kulfi nd den back at her

"Sir Atleast try once nd if you won't like it den you are free to throw dis away." Geet said as she took a bite from her Kulfi.

Maan looked at Kulfi not sure whether he should eat it or not but then thought of taking a bite nd den throw it away. Thinking dis he just took a small bite from Kulfi trying to absorb its taste. Geet saw him taking the bite reluctantly nd slapped her forehead in disbelief.

"Sir not like this. If u'll eat the Kulfi like this den u'll never be able to relish its taste. Eat like this" she said nd slurped the Kulfi hard in order to teach Maan how to enjoy Kulfi.

"Eat like this nd den I'll see how u are not going to like it." she said as she slurped her Kulfi once again.

Maan looked at Kulfi nd then slurped it the way Geet had told him nd strangely it really tastes good. He slurped it once again nd dis tym more hard nd it tastes heavenly. Few mins back he was thinking of throwing it away but now he's really enjoying it. He looked at Geet who was busy relishing her Kulfi nd forgets everything around him.

His Kulfi was melting but he was least bothered as he was busy in watching Geet's expression as she was eating her Kulfi. Her eyes were closed nd dere's a sweet smile on her lips as she relishes its taste while slurping it hard. she was oblivious of the havoc he was creating in him wid such an innocent act of hers. She was looking just like an innocent child who is oblivious of all the worries around her. No matter hw hard Maan tried but he just cant take his eyes off her nd keeps on looking at her lost.

Geet opened her eyes nd looked at Maan who was busy looking at her not caring of his Kulfi which had almost melted by now.

"Sir ur Kulfi is melting" Geet tried to tell him but Maan was not registering anything as he was too lost in her.

Before Geet could say anything else she saw him extending his hand nd her breath caught in her throat as she felt his fingers on her lips. She looked at him wid her eyes widen in surprise as he lingered his finger on her lips while coming close to her paralyzing all her senses. she dont y everytym Maan touches her she feels an unknown sensation in her body that she never felt before just like now.

Maan noticed the drop of Ice-cream at the corner of her lips nd he just couldn't control the urge to wipe it off nd as a result he extended his hand towards her soft lips to wipe it off. As his finger came in contact of her soft supple lips he forget every sense of right or wrong nd keeps on lingering his finger on her lips tracing the outline of it. His eyes were just holding hers while his fingers were creating havoc in Geet's body. Geet tried to push him off her but was too lost in his eyes to do anything. Same is the case wid Maan who was too lost in the feeling to realize anything else.

The sound of horn of the car passing by bring both of dem in their senses nd dey realizes wat they were doing. Dey immediately broke away from each other nd looked other side to control their raising heartbeats. Maan looked at Geet's flushed face who was looking at the ground trying to get away from dis awkward situation.

"Wo there was Kulfi at you lips so I was just wiping it off" Maan said in order to reason himself while Geet just kept looking at ground in order to calm her ragged breathing.

Dere was an awkward silence between dem as none of them knows wat to say wen they both heard some noise across the road. Geet raised up her head to look across the road nd saw some kids gathered around the Kulfi vendor while he was just shooing dem away.

"How dare he to talk like this wid kids? I need to give him a piece of Mind" she said as she charged towards the vendor before Maan could say or do something.

"O God! Wats she going to do now? God please save that poor vendor from this sherni. But atleast like this we both were able to come out from this awkward situation but wat the hell I was doing? U was so close to her nd strangely it didn't feel wrong to me. y I always lost my control wen she's around me. y I always forget all my resolution wen he's wid me? y I wanted to feel those supple lips for some more tym? Gosh Maan get a grip on urself? Stop thinking all this crap she's Geet Ur enemy the same annoying girl whose lyf u had decided to make hell don't lest urself in her spell. Its just a matter of one more day nd tomorrow u both will be back to Delhi after party nd den everything will be fine" he thought as he looked at Geet who had reached towards the vendor all ready to teach him a lesson.

Ok so dis it guys! hope u all are going to like it... i dont know whether u all are going to like that morning part or not really nervous for that but i hope that Kulfi part had covered up my fault rite? nd ya dere's still more to come in next update ... hit the like button if u all are going to like it nd Do leave ur comments/criticism its necessary
