PPL I'm confused-what does Aritmancy(A subject which Hermione takes @ Hogwarts) mean????????? While on MuggleNet i found the following thing.

Arithmancy - A method of fortune-telling based on names, numbers, and mathematical calculations. From the Greek, "arithmo" meaning "number" and "mancy" meaning "prophecy." It is also known as numerology.

But I thought Hermione didn't believe in Fortune-Telling. Why., she's so against Divination... And she says Arithmacy is interesting...

Plssss clear up my confusion....

Even mugglenet says it's mostly CALCULATIONS ... So I suppose that's why Hermione likes it so much!

it's all calculations and math work so the results are probably logical and correct...maybe thats why hermione likes the subject as it's not madeup stuff like divination but calculated and worked out things which are obviously beliveble and true.
hope thats making some sense 😃
