I have watched each and every episode, each and every Gohem moment or Raji moment. I have watched kalakaaris, I have watched Koki, Gopi, Ahem, Hetal, Jigar and all the rest of scenes religiously. haven't missed any of them for I like to be updated on the show I am watching and to know each and every nook and corner of it.
But why have I not appreciated Raji romance as compared to Gohem from the beginning I really wonder. Raji are also a beautiful couple, modern and behave very much in the way that today's couples behave when they are together. Why have I fallen hook, line and sinker (the most fav. phrase for many on the forum so using it here) for only Gohem though Gohem are traditional and Raji are modern?
What could the answer to this that majority of fans are Gohem and Koki and not Raji or Hetal? I think most probably what we are or what we aim to be, we tend to like or follow that thing only. So even if Gohem took a long long time to come to the point where they are today, we all have enjoyed the journey really well. Even if Koki is harsh or stick straight, she is transparent.
Raji was based on a dishonest collaboration from the beginning and has continued till date. Whereas Ahem knows everything and anything on how Gopi would react, what she would be thinking and what she feels about others, him or herself, Jigar is clueless about Rashi. Transparency is the base for Gohem too as with Koki. So transparency rules every relation, hence viewers and Gohem Koki relation too.
She bluffed Jigar in each and every way and the transparency required in a relation is not presence even an ounce in their relation from her side. Gohem had transparency even when they didn't walk one step together. They did everything for the sake of keeping their elders happy, but I feel sorry to say that Raji are doing everything to keep themselves happy. Jigar is able to see what he is shown but Ahem is seeing what he isn't shown at all. He is able to see inner beauty of Gopi though Gopi never tried to show it, but Jigar is seeing only outer beauty of Rashi and she has always tried doing so.
Ahem maybe old-fashioned in his ways as is Gopi but I guess most of married people end up being old fashioned after a certain period of time if not in the beginning. If trapping a person in your trap and fooling him of your love and care, then I guess it's better to just have eyelocks or just a mere touch and be old fashioned. Gopi always worshipped Ahem and wanted him, but never imposed herself on him. But Rashi never loved Jigar but always imposed herself on him right from day one when she fell on him with those flowers.🤢
My grandma used to say "Cham se pyaara kaam hota hai" or "Your work is always preferred to your beauty". So Gopi always takes a major portion of everyone's praise even if she doesn't have good sarees, or bindis or her hairstyle is not shown that great. Rashi having all the beautifully made up looks fails to captivate me and many of us as she doesn't think or work or act in a beautiful way.
When everything is good, you are good too, but the real test is when the bad or difficult days start. So would Jigar be able to see through Rashi's evil intentions or would he still be driven by his blind love or I say attraction for her? If latter, then I am sorry to say that he too is selfish and he would deserve what he would get.
Ahem has realized what a gem of a person Gopi is and is supporting her for everything even if not in front of family, in the privacy of their room, whereas Jigar fails to teach Rashi what is good and
what is bad as he himself is novice in that regard. Helping in the chores is not great as he did, but did he ever say that it wasn't her fault? Jigar and Hetal are slowly showing the same looks when Rashi gets the blame just as Rashi used to do after doing a mistake but pretending to be innocent.
Ahem bought bangles for Rashi on Gopi's request but did Rashi ever ask Jigar to do anything for anyone without any self interest?
Mango kalakaari Gopi took the blame and didn't sulk and Ahem supported her actions and praised her, believing in her thoroughly, but stayed calm in front of the family and didn't intervene. While Jigar only sulked silently when Rashi was getting the punishment and could only help her secretly after coming back. Ahem knows by now that Gopi cannot commit any fault whereas Jigar is used to seeing Rashi being scolded time and time again and can only relieve her momentarily without going to the depths of the trouble and advicing or supporting her on it.
Rashi is the most dishonest, treacherous, scheming, selfish, lazy, useless, cribbing for nothing, pretending woman I have ever seen to be shown falling in love or having a love story woven around her, so I just cannot love her or Raji at all till they get sensible, mature enough after going through a hell lot of repentance!So now even if the scene is good, I just cannot appreciate it as her kalakaaris and dishonesty for Jigar, Gopi and everyone stares right back at my face.🤢
So who is a true Saathiya or soulmate we can easily make out! Who supports the other and who knows the inside out of the other we can see crystal clear!

I ended up ranting and raving this long after a Raji and Gohem scene yesterday, but discussions were mainly on Gohem. I had been thinking for quite a while now why I love Gohem and not Raji and these neck to neck two scenes fuelled my thoughts!
