How would you handle being asked to douse an actor five times senior to you with atta? Preeti Chaudhary, who plays Ambi in Kairi - Rishta Khatta Meetha, was faced with this predicament during a shoot for the show.

Preeti had to attempt this rather bold task in her very first scene with Hema Singh, who plays a sweet tyrant mother-in-law, Imarti Devi, on the show.

And we are informed that the newbie took nearly five retakes to get the shot right, triggering off what seems to be an ice-breaker between the duo.

Preeti has left no stone unturned in looking the part - she studied her character's personality, underwent weight loss and bonded with her onscreen monster mom-in-law.

She is now taking dialogue delivery tips from Hema, who is acting Professor at NSD (National School of Drama), and is a voice and speech training expert. Hema has trained the likes of Rapal Yadav, Meghna Malik and Ashutosh Rana.
