Chapter 2
Early morning sun showed up, Grace woke up feeling the heat of early morning sun on her cheeks. She had a bad headache last night and her stomach was growling in hunger. She walked out of her room and saw Tanvi waiting at the dining table. She wasnt surprised to see her for she knew Tanvi was her best mate and would never let her suffer alone. She was there for her always. She also knew the reason why Tanvi showed up at her house. She greeted Tanvi, and tanvi replied" enough of your formalities, i need to know what is going on" Grace gave her a straight look and refreshed herself while Tanvi waited for her reply. Grace looked around wondering where her mum was. She sat opposite Tanvi and made breakfast for herself, she looked at Tanvi and asked," why dont u join me, i will make some for u too?" Tanvi held Grace hand from taking the bread and said, "no need, I am not here to chill and have breakfast. U need to answer something i asked u earlier." Grace smiled briefly,"alright dear, lets go the Blueys Point and i will be back in 10minutes, till then u pack some sandwiches for us, to hog on our way" Tanvi did as Grace told her to do. They left to Blueys Point. They sat away from people,to her this place had its own charm of friendship, she loved to spend time with her friends there and she missed this all whilst her stay in London. Grace told her about Jason being very kind and sweet to her. She said to Tanvi," I need to know what Julian thinks about me and once i get the answer I will decide if I have to move on or wait for him " Tanvi knew how difficult Grace was feeling while she said those words ,"move on". Just then Grace phone rang and it was again Julian. Grace looked at Tanvi and Tanvi instantly grabbed the phone from her and diconnected Julian's call. Grace wondered why she did that and without wasting time she replied, "dont u see how much he is worried about u , he just needs to realise that he loves u too, If i am not wrong he will call u back , mark my words" and they left the place and Julian kept calling...Finally Grace decided to answer his call, she said,"Hiii.." Julian frowned."Hii How are u? I tried alot to call u , finally u answered. I am sorry for yesterday. Can I .." he was interrupted by a beep on his cellphone, He said to Grace," I am sorry , i will call u later" Grace didnt say anything, she knew it was the same call , the same person Julian was speaking to the other day. She heard him disconnect the call and looked back to Tanvi and said, " I.. think Julian has a girl in his life, but I dont want to hurry and make the biggest mistake of my life. I need ur help" Tears filled her eyes and Tanvi could sense her pain. She looked at Grace and moved her hand to rest on her shoulder and she hugged her.and said," Julian is very naive about this, he doesnt know what he has and what he gonna lose, he is truely lucky" Grace dropped Tanvi at her place and reached home. She saw her mum waiting for her , she saw her and made her way to her bedroom to avoid talking about yesterday meeting with Jason. She walked inside her room without letting her mum speak a word, she knew that her actions would not keep her mum from questioning about Jason,.
That night she asked her mum to give her some time to understand the current situation in her life..and in return asked her mum not to question her about anything related to marriage. Following day Julian was having croissant n black tea in the Italian Caffe next to him was a elagantly dressed in office clothes was a young lady Nicky. She looked very sophisticated and was fond of mac makeup , her face spoke all about her. She was holding to Julian's hand and was anticipating him to say something. Julian was about to speak and he paused when he saw Grace on the entrace standing looking more beautiful as she was always. He stood and walked towards her . For a moment they were walking towards each other , lost in each others eyes, in their own world. Grace greeted both of them , aware n careful of not ignoring the lady on the table. "Join us for the brunch"..julian requested. Grace replied trying not to intrude the couple, which she hated thinking about it. Grace walked out of the cafe without wasting her time ,she knew Julian could sense her uneasiness and while she walked out Julian's eyes followed her , until she faded outside in the busy roads. When Grace left , Nicky flipped her fingers infront of Jason who was lost in thoughts . He didnt know how to react infront of her. He payed the bill and left a tip. Nicky slid her hand on Julian's waist as they walked out and Julian ignored it, trying not to hurt the lady.
Grace wanted a break from all that was happening these days. She quickly dialed the number from the yellow books. On the other line , a strong and composed voice answered her call..." good morning, Patsy here.. How can i help u? " Grace for a moment was lost in her thoughts wondering if she was making the right decision. As a psychologist she always knew how to relive her self from the daily hassels of life. Finding no answer on the other end , Patsy repeated herself " are u still there?" Grace answered " sorry i was looking for a notebook. " She asked the lady to book tickets to London for a week. Grace had the clear permission from her mother to go to london whenever she liked . She had planned her whole week thinking how she would spend her days. Next morning she woke up early and dressed herself . Grace had already packed her clothes and had informed her classmates in the evening that she would be leaving to London the following morning. Tanvi was already at the door ready to drop Grace at the airport, others were not around because they had to attend a college programme. Grace didnt mind she knew Tanvi was her besties and she didnt wanted anyone to comfort her there .Jason was waiting for everyone outside on the drivers seat. Jason couldnt express to Grace how he was feeling when she was being apart from him. The day he saw her first time he was deeply in love with her and he didnt know what Grace was feeling for him. He tried to divert his mind from Grace's thought , just then he saw her walking towards the car and he could see how pained she was , her eyed filled with tears. He knew something was troubling her but he didnt ask her , thinking the moment wasnt right. He smiled at her. Grace looked at him and thought how wrong she was doing and making Jason believe that she cared for him. Grace boarded the plane, dabbing her eyes she thought about Jason and Julian. and closed her eyes to divert her mind from all the drama over the week.
Julian heard from Ashley that Grace had left to London for a week . He felt bad that she didnt inform him about her visit. Ashley responded to silent Julian ," how does that affect you dude. U have just been around her for a short time and she's been affecting u so much , that her short term separation is upsetting you this way" Julian was surprised to what Ashley said to him. He turned his back to Ashley and replied " no dude , you are taking this wrongly. You know that I love Nicky always. Ashley said to Julian " so does she Julian.. seriously she too loves you" Julian was about to speak , just then Ashley finished what he had intended to say," that is the reason why she planned her trip to London. She was hurt badly when she found you with Nicky in the Cafe. Just then Tanvi intruded , " you are right Ashley , thanks for telling this else i would have done the same today . Julian was silent trying to digest the reality.Words echoed in his mind. He didnt know what to do , He turned towards them and said," you guys have got wrong idea, wake up guys I know Grace very well, she had once told me that she loved a guy from our college batch and whatever you guys are saying is not right." Tanvi replied angrily" that was you Julian she always loved you from the college time" Julian was surprised to know that he was the one Grace always referred too.. He was staring both of them , he said to them," I need to speak to her , this is not getting anywhere" and he left in anguish,. Tanvi thanked Ashley for his support to reveal the news and they hoped this might make a big difference to Julian and that he might realise the reason behind how upset he was. That he was also in Love with Grace.
