U r right! Jai says "Kuch cheez duniya mein nahin badalti"..I think what he implied at that time was, that day also they were (actually it was just roshni i think, jai was keeping quiet all the time) arguing about something while driving, just like the 29th june 1999 night, and roshni almost crashes the car into something..
