Understandable! To him, Khushi is involved with Shyam. To him, probably, Khushi is just stupid enough to have fallen for Shyam, and may not necessarily be as vile as he first thought. Therefore, he is not knowingly doing anything to protect Khushi from Shyam as he imagines no danger to her from him. The only danger he perceives is that if Shyam is around Khushi, then Anjali is endangered.

As a counter, he has stopped the monthly allowance from being transferred to Shyam. Though, Shyam is trying to prove to ASR that he is reforming, ASR does not trust him right away. Understandable!

He needs to see just how serious is Shyam's resolve to reform for his wife and child.

👏 bravo for mentioning this as a viewers we tend to forget that what we know and what they know & u made me realise that of course arnav doesn't know how dangerous shyam is as he thinks kushi is involved with him hence his luck of concern 4 her a very good point to note! & about kushi 3. She has a bigger trouble than ASR - though right now, she does not see him as a bigger one - Shyam. absolutely they r both in war with themselves so shyam is free for now to roam with out a threat from both! !
