Just a little confusion, is Ambhi son of Dhananda?

I think yes as in childhood he claimed to be Rajkumar.

So, if Ambhi Kumar is still alive the real successor of Dhananda, then why is Dhananda announcing Bhadrsal who will marry Durdhara will be the successor of throne??

No Ambhik is the son of King Ambhi of Gandhar. He killed his father and sided with Alexander, after becoming a king at young age. So yes he was a Rajkumar but that means that he was a prince i.e. a son of a King, but as he was the only son of King of Gandhar (a powerful kingdom - less powerful than Magadh but still Powerful) it is assumed that he will be King one day and that was why he was so arrogant at Gurukul.😳

I hope you understand what I am trying to say ..if not please do tell me and i will try to explain more
