after this article...i need to discuss and know this...why this Raja Sen dude is so biased for kareena

read this article..where he is FORCED to praise Vidya and very smartly brings kareena to comparison and if u read the article..he thinks kareena is superior. on the contrary, why has he brought kareena in the article when she has nothing to do with it

i dont get it...a reviewer has to be non biased and ethical...but this Raja sen don't take much time to praise KAREENA even in her crappiest movies...he even went to the extent the title role of saat khoon maaf should have been played by her..

he looks like a chamcha to kareena according to me...working for her PR..i hate such kind of biased people...praise kareena where its due no problem...but making her a goddess of acting does seem so fake...i am surprised tht if he can praise her so heavily now even when she does next to nothing...what will he do when heroine arrives 😆 sorry Raja Sen u need to quit what u do...we dont buy ur stories at all.

Raja Sen's article - Heroine Number One: Kareena Kapoor

Raja Sen's article on Kareena Kapoor, looks like hes a big bebo fan and iam sure kareena fans will agree not sure about others though :D

After all that hullabaloo over pregnancy clauses and breach of contract, it now appears that Aishwarya Rai's impending motherhood is a miraculous stroke of luck for filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. He might be reshooting his film following a forced delay and hiatus, but the new actress aboard the film could not be better cast — even if she's charging a bomb. In fact, that dramatically large payday merely strengthens her case for being the best woman for the job.

Not just does Kareena Kapoor become India's highest paid actress with a paycheque substantially larger than her peers for the upcoming Heroine, but she has negotiated her way into a significant profit-sharing deal with UTV. This makes her the first Indian actress to do so — only the Khan triumvirate and, occasionally, Akshay Kumar, it is heard — ask for a cut of the proceeds. Reportedly being paid Rs 6.4 crore straight-up plus profits means Bebo will be pocketing quite a phenomenal chunk of change, even if the film only does moderately well.

Clear the throne, seat-warmer, Kapoor's back where she belongs.

Or, at least, where she believes she belongs: which really is more than half the battle won. Kareena sauntered into Bollywood as if she was meant to take over, a natural successor to a legacy her illustrious khandaan left her. Wrapped in a self-contained perception of entitlement might not be the healthiest or sanest approach to life, but — if and only if — you have shoulders big enough to support a delusion that large, you indeed believe in your own magic and, abracadabra, you're it.

Over the years Kareena has indeed honed herself as an actress, but that's not at all uncommon: in an industry tragically starved of fresh on-screen talent, most youngsters learn on the job. What Kareena brought to the mix was extreme confidence, albeit perhaps coming from misguidedly premature conviction of being the best in the biz even without knowing the biz. That cocksure superstar swagger, mostly seen in the men of the megastar species, coupled with her often-ethereal looks, made for a woman positively committed to glamour. And the thicker she poured it on, the better she worked it.

She's a star in the same way as, say, Salman Khan: constantly larger than life, hits and flops holding little sway on the public perception or star value, and someone who owns the room and is visibly proud of doing so. Her screen presence is extraordinary, and while Sallu's given up even pretending to try at acting, she's a very capable performer indeed. It's just that her strengths as an actress — spontaneity, candour, vulnerability, expressiveness — all often get overshadowed by the way she blossoms under the spotlight. I'd suspect she doesn't mind at all, so long as the hoardings look gorgeous enough. And, naturally, large enough.

Fitting, then, that Khan plays Bodyguard to her next week. And even more appropriate that Bhandarkar, who titles movies with an awe-inspiring lack of ingenuity — labelling them in a word or so to indicate just what facet of the obvious stereotype he will next exploit — has Kareena as his Heroine.

SEE RAJA'S SEN LOVE FOR KAREENA...ONLY he could write such articles in her praise.

then why do u call urself as a film critic dude?

Sheesh...just because you are on the Vidya bandwagon, does not mean you have to twist somebody else's words. The full sentence was:

She isn't our finest actress, but it's fascinating watching her grow with each performance, all the while gathering nuances, like a snowball rolling determinedly down Mount Talent.

He is entitled to his views. He has praised her plenty! In fact he is not very complimentary to Kareena in that piece. Like I said...re-read it before twisting the intent in your bashing!

He said, she isn't our finest actress. YET.

the way i see it.. he thinks that her best is yet to come and if she is soo good now than she'll be incredible when that happens ... And i agree ... i think Vidya is just starting .. and in the coming years (if she picks the right movies) she'll take truly become the indian equivalent of meryl streep ...

I actually thought he showed Kareena in poor light ..He showed that Vidya is miles ahead of Kareena because a) Kareena was nothing more than arm candy in male dominated movies when Vidya was carrying movies on he shoulders and b) size zero doesn't equal success or desirability

i dont know about this one but IMO critics shouldnt matter!
who is the finest actor around is known to the audience very well without the help of critics! and trust me people know how good and sincere vidya is with each of the roles she plays! see NOKJ and see TDP, i see two different people! and just coz some film critic has had his pocktes full by some1 cant change the nation's opinion about it! Vidya is our finest actress today, and this is believed by 80% of the nation atleast!

BheeGi Basanti...i have no energy to waste...becoz i have been following Raja Sen's reviews since a long time...and the reason he is being really smart favouring kareena over others quite evident...OK LEAVE VIDYA ALONE...i am not talking abt her...why did he bring kareena in this...i dont understand...i can see where u are coming from...and i am not the only one...just check out the tweets being send to Raja sen for clearly biased for her...if u haven't followed it yet. ITS YOUR PROBLEM OK...i have read tht piece many times...and i can smell the foul odour of kareena's appreciation. please don't try to make me understand what i already know
